Calling All .22 Kral Puncher Pro Jumbo/Mega/Pro Walnut Owners!

Hey gang- I’m looking for my first PCP to use for backyard PRACTICE for NRA smallbore (rimfire) silhouette.

I have received tons of helpful advice from the great folks here, and while a Daystate regal would be perfect for my purposes, it is actually twice my budget for a rifle that will only be used for approximately 10% of my actual practice in the discipline in which I compete. I’m now taking a hard look at the Kral Puncher series. Pyramid air just lowered the price of the Jumbo to $509 for a refurb and $549 for a new .22.

Questions-

How much does the rifle actually weigh? I’ve seen three different weights listed by different vendors, and no weight listed on Kral’s website.

What is the LOP of the stock?

I will be filling from a scuba tank that a friend from Florida is sending me for free, 4K psi that I can have filled at my local fire department for free.

Are there any other of the models from the Puncher line that you would recommend for my purpose which is offhand shooting?

What do I to know/what upgrades or tweaks should I plan on if I buy a Puncher?

Any parts/fill adapters than I’ll need?

What pellets does your .22 Puncher like?

I suggest that you find a vendor that has one in stock and will allow you to actually hold the thing and if it is not for you they may have something else that will better fill your requirements. I doubt that your buddy's SCUBA tank will be able to fill to 4K. There are steel tanks available that can fill to 4300 but they are rare in the USA. You will need a fill adaptor and hose to suit the type of valve that the tank has. If it's a high-pressure SCUBA it will have a DIN type, if it's regular aluminium type tank, it will need a K valve or yoke type adaptor or if it's a firefighter's SCBA tank it will probably need a CGA adaptor. As for pellets, start with JSB 18.13 Jumbo heavies. Most 30+ FP guns shoot them best.

TNT19- I compete in rimfire NRA smallbore silhouette using an Anschutz 1712 in .22LR. I have three RWS Springers, but the recoil just not is not conducive for silhouette practice so I’d like to get a PCP. A Daystate Regal would be the perfect fit, but way over budget for my needs as backyard silhouette practice only comprises perhaps 10% of my practice work.

I was only asking about length of pull because I have long arms, I have had over a dozen different thumbhole style stocks in the past and never met one I didn’t like or couldn’t modify to my needs.

Yep it’s true that a traditional sporter would feel closer to my 1712, the stock on it has a close to vertical pistol grip, palm flare & rollover comb.

Not sure what kind of tank it is, he has a bunch of them, lives in Florida and has a friend who owns a dive shop. He said that it’s rather heavy, he’s going to send me that plus an O2 tank of some kind that’s supposed to be rated high pressure. Most important thing for me, it’s free.

Take a look at the Artemis M30 on the Krale site.Bolt Action, magazine capacity 9(25cal)/10(22cal)/or 12 (17cal). Weights 6 pounds,2oz. Checkered grip and forestock.Rubber butt pad. Regulated. / 177 / 22 / 25 cal. ( 177 & 22 cal rated at 1000 FPS,the 25cal at 900fps) but that varies with what weight pellet you would be using and the rifle itself can be adjusted several ways to increase or decrease velocity. Max fill 250 bar. // $530 + $28 shipping. May be more of a better fit for your needs. It's dimensions are closer to that of a bull barrel rimfire.
