California Lead Ban

Just a heads up for all of us in the "great" state of California. As we know, starting on July 1st of this year, all CDFW properties have to be hunted with nonlead ammo with the rest of the state lead free by 2019. It has been discussed that this would include "Pellet" guns. The link below is the CDFW website that excluded "pellet" guns from the lead free law. Scroll down to the FAQ.

Mods: If this needs to be moved to the hunting section, please do so.

"Cookie"So you can fire 40 grains of lead at 900fps but not 3900fps. The inconsistency is clear. Emotional/political rather than practical.

The inconsistency is very clear once you understand the mindset of the rulers of The Peoples Demokratic Republik of Kalifornia. Like Global Warming, oops, Climate Change, scientific fact and common sense have absolutely nothing to do with the rules. These people pass a rule or law and here is the key, "Feel Good that they have done something." As long as they "Feel Good" about what they have done all is well. Also, the rulers in Kalifornia are openly hostile to private ownership of firearms. So they chip away at gun ownership. A while back they banned magazines of over 10 shots capacity. Then they banned many self loading guns based on cosmetics. Now no more lead in your ammo. They are eating the elephant, one bite at a time.
