Caldwell chronograph

I'm having a lot of trouble with extraneous light messing up the sensors on my Caldwell. Got the unit, lights, wires and all replaced, and still all no reads or ERROR 2 & 3. I'm going to experiment with the bright light in here, then some other things. Might not need the lights indoors with 2 windows & southern exposure?

Well, I tried both 3.5mm cables, and the fire wire-to-USB phone cable and nothing. Finally connected, but lot of no-reads and ERROR2's. Didn't matter if I used reflectors or white LED's. Unit won't even read at all anymore with no android plugged into it. I've got two sets of these things I can't use. I'm at the end of my rope here! I really need some help!
