Burst Disc?

I never had one go on my tank but on my compressor I’ve had them blow. It’s almost normal for it to eventually happen as the high pressure weakens them so eventually they will blow at a lower pressure than they were originally designed for. If you tank had a good cold fill and you put it in a warm place that could also raise the pressure to blow it. But if I had to guess it is probably just metal fatigue on the copper disk or a defect.

I heard the same thing just last week! I had charged the tank to only 4100 psi and about 2hrs later it blew. Gets your attention right now!! I only have the 1 tank so I sortof panicked at first when I couldn't find any dealers that had one in stock but Air Venturi tech shop came up with one and are sending it to me. They are great to work with and their people are most helpful.

The $5 apiece burst disks from any U.S.vendor is the biggest rip off in the world. You can buy burst disks very inexpensively on Aliexpress. You must have had an incorrectly rated or defective burst disk to spontaneously blow even with a full tank of air. Here is a link to a pack of 10 for $1.31 on sale. They are 7mm in diameter and made for Yong Heng compressors. There are lots of other links with other brands and quantities you can buy.
