I'm not sure if I saw it here or on another site but lately I've been thinking a lot if it's possible to make a bullpup out of a break barrel springer. I think I might throw a few designs together and try and figure it out. I'm thinking a poplar stock. It's hardwood but still lighter than something like oak or walnut, plus is pretty inexpensive. Also thinking an electronic trigger would be a better way to go to avoid trying to figure out linkage's. Any ideas or suggests would be helpful.

It's an interesting idea, and I think it could be done with a few modifications. I'm thinking that a sidelever or underlever would be more effective, the compression tube and spring facing backwards with an upward-angled transfer port at the end of the tube. Think of essentially an over-under two-barrel look, with the bottom "Barrel" being the compression tube.
As far as the trigger, I've never heard of an electronic trigger in any type of springer, but that isn't to say it's not possible.
With the ideal length of a springer barrel being around 18 inches (at least, so I've heard), it might be very feasible to make a very short rifle. My concern would be the recoil- springers can be brutal in a traditional configuration, but with the piston reversed (AKA the piston slamming towards the shooter during the firing cycle), the felt recoil for even a low-powered model would be cause for pause. Great idea though! I'm interested to see what comes of it!

Those are definitely some good design suggestions. I'm going to try and make one with a regular break barrel. Right now the biggest issue I see is being able to move my scope far enough forward to use but not have it in the way of the breach to load a pellet. I'd have to raise it up a good inch and a half or two to be able to cock it and load in a pellet. An electronic trigger would be fairly simple and would allow me to be able to put the trigger as far forward as I want. It would just be a momentary switch pressed by the trigger to activate a small solenoid to move the sear. I have an old broken break barrel I'm going to use to figure this out until I get a functional stock so I don't screw up my working rifle.
If I had the money I'd just buy a nice compact PCP but I don't so I'm trying to make this work. In the process I'm trying to figure out a way to quiet the action noise and not rattle my teeth out of my head from the recoil. I'm thinking making the stock out of hardwood might help absorb the recoil a bit and reduce the noise if I was to encase the action in some way.

Essentially this is how the electronic trigger will work. This just a basic drawing so bare with me. I'll figure out if I need some kind of step up transformer to activate the solenoid as I'm collecting parts. I'm going to use a plunger type solenoid to move the lever to release the sear. I'll use a momentary switch which will be pressed by the trigger to activate the solenoid. I'm also going to use a toggle on/off switch to act as a safety.

Diana 54 bullpup with electronic trigger system. The gun weighs in at appx. 24lbs. The weight is an effort to keep such a small package as stable as possible. The stock and trigger system was built by Ray Apelles(shooting), the rifle tuned by Hector Medina.

That's pretty sweet. I guess side lever would be the best style for a bullpup. I'm gonna figure this break barrel thing out. I'm gonna have to put some cut outs in thr stock to keep the weight down as much as possible without losing too much rigidity. I really like the rails system the 54 has to reduce recoil. Pretty clever.

Any "bullpupy" design in springers that I can think of is chinesse sidelever QB57... After some work it can be nice cheap plinker, but mamy that model can give you some ideas or be a base for that kind od experiment.

Here's a pic of a FWB 300s bullpup . Kinda funky looking but cool also . I would think it would be a good bullpup candidate because of ease of cocking . But no way I could do it to one .

That's a good looking rifle. I like that stock design, simple and functional. I think I might do something similar to that but have that cheek piece extend forward all the way to the breach to see if that reduces noise a bit. Top one doesn't look too bad. I like how the action is sealed within the stock. That 2nd one looks pretty horrible,lol. Hopefully mine doesn't come out looking like that.

I've. Been thinking of doing the sAme with a Chinese b3 clone.shouldnt be that difficult,trigger would be the most difficult part I would think. May start on mine in the spring.
