Build at home Electronic Target

There is a “build at home” acoustic electronic scoring target for those interested in trying something like this out. Open source. Electronic targets are a great deal of fun combined with your favorite air rifle, or pistol.

Thanks for the information. I was interested until I saw how complicated it was to build especially the PC board install. Way too hard for me and I only have a MacBook Pro and not a PC but good luck for those that want to try.

Cool! Thanks for posting! I haven't looked at this closely yet - most acoustic targets require supersonic projectiles. If this works for my sub-sonic pellets it'll be great. I'd be happy to provide some low-touch tech support for the electronically impaired.

If I did not already have an electronic target I would give this a try first. The next closest thing in price is probably an Inband, but that would cost about a $1000. Everything else costs way more.

Looks like it's Arduino based - your MacBook would be fine, no adjustments necessary to the code, you just download the Mac version of the Arduino IDE: Mac Arduino software .
