Build 2540

Been thinking of converting one of the 2240s to .25 just to have something to do after back surgery. Not looking for power, just another gun to play around with. Might mod the valve if decide to use the Hipac, but wolud most likely stay with 2000 psi or less if I use hpa. May just bulk fill CO2 , have to decide. Guess I’ll have to make the bolt, but need to find a reasonable .25 barrel.

Anyone who has gone through this process and has any suggestions, would like to hear them. I have mill and lathe, but at this point may try to stay with simple work to avoid having to stand at the mill or lathe for too long to make things.

I know, easy to spend a lot of money and have a money pit, but fun to tinker. Can’t shoot the heavy guns for awhile, so thought I’d look for fun projects. Baker Airguns has a barrel that may be a good canidate.

Though I didn't build the 9mm 2250 below (got it from an online auction site), I did made the custom grips myself, changed to the polished grip-frame pictured, and tuned the gun to perfection. I only ever used it on bulk-fill Co2, but she shot great. Pay particular attention to the notation about how reducing power only slightly returned MANY more shots per charge.
