Bug Buster ?

I have owned a Bug Buster.

Ich! (My opinion only, apparently as others like them). Too much edge distortion and refraction..

For my close shooting, hunting (on my .22lr, .357 magnum. 44 magnum pistol) it comes down to one scope...Leopold M8 2X.

For a rifle I would get a Leopold 1-4X.

Get the best and forget the rest...

I have owened a 3-9 IR that I sold to buy the 3-12. I think I liked owning the 3-9 better, but I do like the side adjustment knob on the 3-12. I’m not a scope snob, but can certainly tell that they are not on par with good scopes. I feel that if you keep your expectations in check, the BB can serve you well. I use mine on my HW30S for close (5-20 yard) pesting and works flawlessly for that purpose. If you want a very nice glass scope for close in work, give the Weihrauch 4x a look. The glass is simply amazing.

i wanted a decent compact scope for the leshiy with a decent magnification for my older eyes - the AR scopes usually max out at 6x, the dedal stalker is way too costly and is 6x mag, the hawke 2-7x32 that a lot of people favour didn't offer enough magnification so decided to try the bugbuster 3-12x32mm which I wasn't expecting too much for the price but thought its pretty cheap so worth a shot and I am actually really impressed - its size is perfect for the leshiy, sure the glass isn't all that and the turrets are mushy, the magnification adjuster is pretty stiff that I added a nylon coaster but its a really cute scope that focuses down to 3 yards! bear in mind this one doesn't have the illum reticle the 3-9x32mm has.

I have the 3-12 with the sidewheel. For what it is,I like it. The reticle is thinner and nicer than the other UTG 1in scopes as well. I have it on one of my Gamo Urbans and it works fine.

Mike...………………………….. Mike is your bugbuster the newer one that came out recently ?

Yes, I Think so. I got it late last summer ...unless there is something newer that I'm unaware of.
