    Interested in doing this with a GoPro I bought to shoot dive videos. Would this setup hold the extra weight OK?

    The weight is not the issue here. The issue is that a GoPro has a very wide lens and you will have a hard time seeing what you are filming. You would have to film is as high of a resolution as possible, so you can zoom-in in post production. Or you could change the lens on the GoPro to a more tele like lens.

    YES Like KMD said, the GoPro isn't suited for this type of application.

    FYI you can also get prisms quite cheap and build around them. Might be easier in some cases than getting the airsoft prism stuff. Also available in several sizes.

    I just ordered some from here, 30x30mm and 40x40mm. Will probably 3d print something to try them out.

    Hi Toku58. Good stuff! I had told my friends last year that i wanted to use my anglesight like this. I actually have a custom lens in my gopro that would allow me to use it in this application. In your post, you mentioned thaymt the hardest part was sanding the tube or bushing? Which piece are you referring to and are you referring to the inner diameter or outter of that piece?
