on April 13 I purchased the gun from moose. I got it three day later and I noticed the barrel shroud would not let the vpn to be adjusted. I sent him a text to which he replied the gun is an month old and that's the way it came. I replied that if I cannot adjust the vpn then I wanted my money back. he replied no that I was having buyers remorse. so no big deal I put it back in the case. days later after I got my scope and ammo I went to set it up. the mag was very hard to get into the well but I got it in. I shot it and all worked fine. later that day I wanted to adjust the barrel to fit the mag. well the barrel would not budge. I looked into the mag well and I noticed the indexing notch was at the 9 oclock position and the index lug was sheared off. I was so angry that I took a tool to remove it and I forgot to take a pictures. my MISTAKE.

once I took the barrel of, the stainless steel part that you screw the brass part into was all chewed up with a plier. the block that holds the probe was put in upside down so the grub screw is on the left side of the gun.

I contacted him with a PM and he says I'm having buyers remorse, I'm full of poop the gun is brand new and that's the way it came. never mind that he added all of the k&l stuff. so he messed with it. I told him I was going to write up a post after I had it repaired. he accused me of trashing his name and that I'm full of poop. the last pm message was six days ago, my phone number with please call me so we can talk. never heard from him since

I sent the gun to CHUCK for repairs and a detailed description of all that will need replacement. I will update this post once I get details from CHUCK.

That’s really messed up. Sounds like he shouldn’t be owning a gun such as an impact, as he can’t figure out how the barrel goes back in, or how to install a brass transfer port. Wow.

with only 23 posts to his name... I agree it’s guys like this that would make the rule to have a 100 posts before selling on the classifieds

Acruz- I have completed anywhere from 4-8 deals with you , all without incident. Sucks that you shell out big coin and get this kind of nonsense. Hope this doesn't turn out completely nightmarish for you.

as for you BUCKNMOOSE , Acruz isn't trying to trash your name , you are doing that YOURSELF. Look at the mans accuracies! He has been on this forum for years. I for one will only buy guns second hand from people I trust. YOU ain't one of them! So either you work this out with Acruz , or you completed your last deal.

Waiting for your response.

Never had any dealings with either of the parties, but I do remember seeing the classified listing and thinking "that sure doesn't look like a 1 month old gun to me" ! I never buy used unless I have to (no longer made or unobtainium), especially if not 20-40% less than new. Sorry I had to get a refresher course at your expense.

I actually pm’d BUCKN MOOSE on this gun, as I was considering getting a compact. He made it clear to me NO PAYPAL WHATSOEVER. NOT EVEN FOR GOODS AND SERVICES and me paying the 3%. He claims he’s been burned by PayPal sales before. Now I see why.

ive discussed this whole matter in detail with the guy that repaired ACruz’s gun. Big $$ in replacement parts, along with labor fees, on top of the $2K this guy wanted for the gun. The brass factory transfer port wasn’t heated to remove, but instead vice grips went on both the factory TP ALONG with the stainless adapter, so you can imagine what the adapter looked like.

The alignment notch on the Huma dual transfer port? Ohhh, what’s that for? Obviously seller didn’t know, as when he re inserted the barrel back in it it stopped short of going all the way thru, so instead of rotating the barrel slightly while gently pushing(as all Impact owners should know, right?) mr BUCKNMOOSE decides to take a hammer and wood block to the end of the barrel and drive that barrel thru. So that now forces the alignment pin outward, buldging out the aluminum block, which is why ACRUZ can’t get a magazine in.

pellet probe replacement? Seller botched that up, too.

It really pisses me off when a dude with minimum posts gets on here, and jumps on the bandwagon of MK2’s being greedily sold for near new pricing, knowing fully that the gun is FFF’d up, but throws some saber tactical bling parts in to make it look like some kind of “deal”, and basically sold MR Cruz an all POS parts gun.

Stay clear of this seller, fellas. He doesn’t belong in this community.

Wow, this truly sucks! I've dealt with Angel multiple times and he's a stand up guy. I remember this ad b/c the yellow K&L rail caught my eye. It's horrible that some newb seller swooped in here, dumped a busted up $2k gun and vanishes. His profile shows that he still active on the forum having just logged in a couple of hours ago but has appeared to wash his hands of this transaction. What a shame...

He’s probably not smart enough to even go on this section of the sub forums to even attempt to clear his name. I say that boldly because I sent him a pm calling him out on his wrong doings, and to also let him know he’ll probably never be able to sell anything on this forum again when word got out in the member recognition section.

I know he gets PM’s, cause he replied right away when I first inquired about his gun for sale.

I have a feeling he’s a part of some airgun shooting group in Michigan. Hopefully someone that belongs to that group that’s a member on here gives him $$- hit for what he did.

Well the gun is in the way back to me and she's better than new. I had to replace the rear block, the silver barrel adapter, the transfer port AND the freacking pressure gauges were on with super glue. I guess that's the new way to stop a leak. The silver barrel adapter was all chewed up with a pair of pliers. He did not realized the transfer port is on with loctite. So right now it is what it is..

For you guys that dealt with me before, thank you for having my back.

Well, you knew it was in good hands getting repaired, ACRUZ! It’s unfortunate it came to that, but, the blessing here is it’s good or better than new, and I just learned I need to get super glue to seal up pcp manometers. Thanks for the tuner tip.......

NOT!! Surprised the seller didn’t use Elmer’s glue. This here should be a reason why some characters, made of money or not, shouldn’t start off with as complicated a gun as an impact. With no knowledge of a persons skill set, prior pcp experience, etc, this is what ends up happening. Start them off on marauders, and learn what’s needed to learn, jeez!

A few weeks ago a fellow forum member here named Angel Cruz purchased an FX Impact MKII Compact .30 cal. from another member here that goes by the pseudonym "BucknMoose". The FX Impact Compact that Angel received was badly damaged by the seller who deliberately pawned it off on him in that condition and for top dollar no less. I hope Michal Wendt bans BucknMoose from this forum and makes it impossible for him to ever sell anything else on the classifieds here ever again.

I do not know the seller named BucknMoose but I have known Angel Cruz for many years now, and for all the years I've known him Angel sends all his air rifles to me for tuning, repairs, or any modifications. Angel is the kind of guy that doesn't even want to know what an Allen wrench looks like let alone how to use one...so he just doesn't touch his air rifles - period! Even for something as small as replacing an air gauge O-ring he ships the gun to me to do it for him. I keep all his equipment running at its optimal performance, power, and accuracy for him. As a matter of fact he has purchased several FX air rifles just on my personal recommendation because he trusts my judgement. I am sharing this information with everyone here on the forum so there can be no question as to whether or not Angel caused the damage to this gun he bought from BnM.

The total cost of repairs for parts & labor came to $500.00 plus another $95.00 for insured shipping back and forth...I know this because I am the one that ordered the replacement parts and did the repairs on it. There are lots of guys here on the forum now that have enough experience to work on their Impact's blindfolded...and then there are those that don't. BnM definitely falls into the latter category big time! He obviously bought the Compact and several upgrade items for it and rather than watch some YouTube videos on how to install them he just tried to do it himself. With no knowledge of how to do so he ended up making a lot of expensive mistakes...and then rather than send it out to have it repaired he put it up for sale here on the forum where Angel Cruz was the unlucky buyer.

Here are a few of the things BucknMoose did to the rifle:

He removed the barrel with the idea of replacing the factory brass transfer port with one of the Dual Ported ones from Huma. He didn't know the factory one was put on with Loctite or that he needed to use a micro torch to heat it up in order to remove it. So from the bite marks it looked to me like he put a pair of vise-grips on the brass transfer port and another pair of vise-grips on the silver barrel adapter, and attempted to unscrew the transfer port like that...damaging both parts badly in the process.

Then it looks like he said to hell with that and decided to put the barrel back in the rear block...not knowing there was a small notch in the transfer port at the 6:00 o'clock position that's supposed to line up with the little steel alignment pin. So he pushed the barrel into the rear block with the alignment notch of the transfer port at the 9:00 o'clock position, and so when it wouldn't go in all the way he must have used a three pound hammer and a block of wood on the front of the barrel to pound it in the rest of the way! So by hammering the barrel into the rear block it smashed the steel pin down rearwards and bulged the aluminum out into the magazine well!😳 😆 (Sorry but I have to laugh when I picture someone doing this! Like something you would see on an episode of Laurel and Hardy!)

Oh, and both air gauges had what appears to be Super Glue on the threads and lots of it...which I am guessing was used to stop air leaks?

The trigger was in what I refer to as an Unsafe Condition because the Safety was inoperable so that the gun would fire with the Safety on! And it was adjusted to the single stage position so lightly that I could fire the gun by banging on the receiver with the bottom of my fist.

Mr. BucknMoose, from the bottom of my heart I advise you to square up with Angel on the money he had to put out to fix the broken gun you stuck him with - and then move on because you're all done here pal. Angel is a fair man - soft spoken - kind hearted - and of a forgiving nature...his only mistake was in trusting you! It's not my place to take offense for him second hand and yet I do feel very angry for what you did to my friend Angel...as his friend I will always have his back. I'm just one of those old school guys that figure whatever touches my friends or family also touches me. So in the name of God and for the Salvation of your own Soul I encourage you to do the right thing... in your heart you know what that is.

All the best, Chuck

Well put, Chuck. This community is a close, tight community and we tend to watch out for each other, based on all the scammer warning given by members each and every week. The classifieds section in itself gets recommended a lot to newbies wanting to get into this hobby inexpensively or to just “dip their toes in”. If we all didn’t police the classifieds like we do what good is recommending a person to first try buying used to see how they like this hobby, only to have them get ripped off by some shady guy like BUCKNMOOSE.

I recently read some of his posts, and based on him not replying back to others comments and suggestions it was obvious it was post count that he was after.

Well B thank you for saying so...and now let me tell you guys some good news!

While working on bringing Angel's wounded baby back to life I absolutely fell in love with her 😍, and I affectionately named her "Baby Binky"! 😆 😁 Angel had to practically drive down here and take her away from me to get her back home! She is the perfect companion to Angel's full size Impact .30 700mm Sniper named Slugger. For any of you guys thinking about a compact air rifle I give this FX Impact Compact my highest recommendation. You will fall in love with it right away! And I believe this is the perfect air rifle that a youth or slightly built person could easily handle.

Angel put his Athlon Argos Gen 2 1-8x24 with 50 yard fixed parallax on her because it is the perfect scope for a woods walker rifle like the FX Compact...it is a point & shoot scope with a fantastic second focal plane reticle whose center dot and holdover dots light up daylight bright when illuminated. The Argos 1-8x24 only weighs 16 ounces and is only 10 inches long, which keeps the weight down so you can carry this rifle/scope combo all day long without becoming fatigued. The DonnyFl Koi recommended by my friend Joel at Palm Beach Airguns is the perfect silencer for Baby Binky. The Koi does a great job of making her backyard friendly, and its diameter of 1.22" makes it compatible with the new 480cc air tank Joel also recommended as an alternate for longer hunting trips.

So the happy ending of this tragic event is unfolding as Angel finally gets to enjoy Baby Binky! He got her back yesterday and got his Argos sighted in today. Hopefully he will be able to take some big turkeys and maybe even some wild pigs at close range with her. I am going to include a link to the Koi and the Argos for those of you that are not familiar with them. I personally own two of the Argos Gen2 1-8x24 scopes...I have one on my old Wildcat Gen1 .25 and one on my Impact MKII .30 for close range offhand shooting fun.

All the best, Chuck

I just saw this post today, and wanted to also chime in. I've bought at least three items from Angel over the past three years, and every transaction was as good as they come. He's a stand up guy, and can totally be trusted. CHUCK is the man also, great guy and I've also had more than one transaction with him. Great job with the gun Chuck, and good luck with it in the future Angel...
