Bubble level. Can someone give me some info.

At 100 yards, a JSB 18.1gr leaving at 900fps will miss 1.0in laterally if the gun is canted just 2 degrees.

An imperceptible sidewind of 2mph will push it a similar amount, about 1.2 inches.

At 300 yards, the 2 degrees cant would move the POI almost 17 inches.

Great illustration. "OTHER FACTORS"😌 come into play here as well (another discussion) but a good specific setup example that would certainly apply to MANY (if not even all??) air guns (I hate to overgeneralize). 1" at 100 yards seems to be an "important" amount of miss to me for an air gun shooter, and at "airgun distances" no less. And since "airgun" targets are probably a bit smaller (in general) than firearms targets, such a level of error certainly seems to be relatively more "important" in the air gun world.

IMO, use a level and you will "shoot better" with your air gun.

It isn't just the wind, but I think you really already know that😁. As I said, there are "other factors" that can influence the size of the miss error and they have been discussed AT LENGTH elsewhere and people can read that separately, so I'm glad you have accepted the "serenity". But we DO SEEM TO AGREE that shooting with the gun upright is going to help accuracy EVEN AT "AIRGUN" DISTANCES. So there's that.
