I just got my BSA Ultra SE in .22, and I'd like to increase its hitting power.
It's currently shooting around 9.5 fps, pretty low. I know installing a wider transfer port and/or a stiffer hammer spring would do, but I'd like to hear some feedback from someone who's actually done it.
Though underpowered, this Ultra's shot string is pretty decent with only 30 to 40 fps spread over 50 shots. With a regulator it probably won't do much better than that, so my question is, what kind of improvement will give me more power without making the shot string worse?
