Brocock Bantum Sniper HP

It can also have a lot to do with bolt lock up. If the probe/ bolt face are misaligned or not closing properly it will cause this over time. Not a common issue and you probably need to return for warranty repair. It can also be caused by a tight fitting pellet that hinders that last tiny bit of bolt closure. Easy to miss if you are rushing. I did it twice but only lost the o ring once. Tried shooting slugs and they were very tight. O ring was hanging on the probe when I opened the bolt. All my fault but easily fixed. If it fits tight I now make sure the bolt is securely closed all the way. Hope this sheds some light.

I have a Regular Brocock Bantam HR Sniper in .22 shooting at over 33 foot pounds and after thousands of rounds I have never replaced the factory breach seal and it's still good.I do however lube my pellets.

Same experience here. I shoot a combination of lubed and unlubed pellets, can't tell a difference with JSB pellets. No problem with the breech seal.

The gland is clean. The o-rings are the ones from the factory. Using silicone grease to lube, but that is a question of does it help or collect dust and dirt and cause problems. We will try some different grades of O-rings. Thanks Centercut. Shooting 18 grain JSB''s. Will pay more attention to the bolt lock-up and see if that is the cause. Has to be a simple fix. Thanks. Sylvan
