Looks good my Compatto shoots comparable groups with those same pellets. I was plinking and pesting with the JSBs (15.89s and 18s). But the CPs have been shooting good to 60+ yards. For pesting and plinking they’re much cheaper than the JSBs. The Sniper did win the EBR 2018, 100 yard match. Awesome gun. Thanks for posting.

If I recall I installed a delrin spacer behind hammer spring and turned regulator up to 155-160 and had 21gr Baracuda’s going around 1000 FPS, Gun was hard to cock, loud and not pleasant to shoot. I didn’t keep like this very long. I enjoy the 28-33 foot pound range for the Sniper. If I want high FPE gun I grab my.25 Crown.

I agree... this gun is in a sweet zone at around 29 fpe and the shot count is superb! If someone must have higher power, there are other excellent options available for that.

It is nice to know that the gun is capable of being tuned for some serious power of needed. In my opinion it just adds to the versatility of an already great rifle. While most people who chose a 22 aren't looking for outright power, more of a balance between efficiency and power. Having a rifle that can that can bee tuned to a high fpe but still be turned down to reasonable power levels with the power adjuster would be great. It's really too bad that the power adjuster doesn't save air.

With Huma reg at 140-145 bar and hammer spring screw in .02" from flush, I'm getting excellent performance from JSB 15.89 and 18.13 pellets and over 170 shots per fill (from 240 bar down to 150 bar). That's a real sweet spot for me and where I think I will keep this rifle. Very comfortable, handy size, too.

This may be strange to consider, but I enjoy shooting the Bantam Sniper HR .22 more than I do my Red Wolf .22HP. It's just flat out more FUN! Not that the RW isn't a great rifle, but the Bantam is more FUN.

So a follow up with AOA. I called them again yesterday before i shipped the rifle out. I wanted to try one last time to see if i could just get the parts and not ship the entire rifle back. I got a different person on the phone this time who seemed to be more reasonable. I asked him if they could just send me the parts rather than wasting time or money shipping the rifle back. He said sure thats a great idea, but let me check with the tech what actual parts i need to send. So the gets back to me saying its a bit more complicated than just swapping just a few parts. Apparently my rifle is a earlier series of snipers that has an entirely different hammer system. They rifle will need to be machined and have the entire hammer system replaced to fit properly. They said they will more than likely replace the entire rifle just to cut turn around time. this is interesting considering i have a higher serial number of 0320. I wonder if rifles with the old hammers system are still slipping through or if the serial numbers arent sequential.

OK not sure if this forum is dead but I hope it's not. So I received my sniper back from AOA and immediately continued the war with the squirrels, they are currently eating my tangerines!!! and walking around with my pecans in their mouth. So while trying to shoot one I forgot to take my safety off. I thought that AoA had adjusted to trigger to a heavier weight so I squeezes a little harder which caused the gun to go off. I ended up missing and thinking I pulled the shot due to the heavy trigger. I then noticed the safety was still on!!!! when the gun fired. I decided to repeating it with the gun empty. Yup sure enough they trigger hits the safety catch then seems to pull the safety catch down and fires the gun. Has anyone else experienced this? I tried adjusting the weight and some other things but no luck. I don't remember the gun ever going off before I sent it to AOA but I might not have pulled it hard enough. Can you all try this with your rifles (safely ofcourse) and let me know?

When I first got my bantam .25 from AOA I was going through it like all of my other guys I bought and just like you if I pulled on the trigger hard enough it would fire. I called AOA and they said to send it back so that it could be adjusted but I live in Hawaii and the turn around time was too long so I adjusted it myself and set the trigger pull to 1.24 lbs.

I have thousands of rounds through my Sniper HR .22. Gun loves 18.1 Exacts and is currently set up to shoot them at 900 + fps. Regulator is set at 145 bar, I removed and cleaned up hammer weight and bore. Any lube on hammer weight will cause inconsistent velocity. I installed a Donny FL Tatsu from day one and gun is really quiet, wouldn't know it is a 33 foot pound gun. Also set my trigger just under one pound. Very happy with the Sniper.

Yes, a Brocock Sniper .22 did win the EBR, and a Standard Chevy won the Daytona 500 this year. ;)

Claudio’s Sniper was about as stock as a Daytona race car. Your Sniper doesn’t have a longer LW Poly barrel, enlarged and polished barrel, breech block and valve ports, nor does it shoot .22 JSB RD Monsters at 950 FPS or about 50 FPE. But yes, a Sniper won in the same way a Chevy won the Daytona 500.

Just glad to see another gun manufacturer other than fx win for a change

Well, it looks like everyone is running the add on scope rail.

Another question, for those who know- the only "extra" Brocock magazines on most retailer websites are for Compatto/Bantam. Am I safe to assume that these magazines fit the Sniper HR? The AOA website lists it, but does not specify. Also, the Brocock UK website does not have any specific information on this. Yes, it is a Bantam. However, it is different from previous versions.

Thanks for any help.
