Wow Hack! That is the kind of a shot string to be expected from a Huma regulator! Woohoo! And that is really a beautiful rifle! I personally have never liked the look of the big air bottle on an air rifle...I have always preferred the ones with the long cylindrical air tank instead, but with the synthetic stock I really like the looks of this rifle. I would get some satin finish black and paint the air bottle to match the stock if it were me though. I would try a can of every .177 pellet made out of this rifle to find out what is the most accurate cause you just never know until you do. Thanks for the chrono string...show me another one after you shoot a couple cans of pellets through her and the reg has finished settling in.
All the best, Chuck

No single shot tray. :( No adjustment to the regulator or hammer spring. Got it from Airguns of Arizona. The power wheel has 7 clicks of which it looks like only 6 really do anything while the 7th actually drops the power. This is what I got. JSB 8.44 grains: 535, 676, 776, 860, 930, 963 and 951. For JSB 10.34 grains: 508, 643, 741, 820, 885, 910 and 900. After my first day with it, here a few comments.

1. The gun is HEAVY. They advertised that it would be as light as the original Bantam, it is not. I removed all the picatinny rail stuff to make it lighter. With a Vortex 4-12 1 inch scope, the gun weighs 8.6lbs. Not light if that is what you are looking for.
2. The gun is super quite with the huggett moderator. Like, you can hardly hear it when you shoot it whether on high or low power. Much quieter than my FX 400 in .22.
3. The cocking of the gun takes a knack to get used to. It is not as easy as cocking an FX or AA S410. You have to pull it back with a pretty good tug and then when you push the bolt forward, you have to push it hard to get it to engage the auto forward mechanism in the magazine. This may get easier as the magazines get more cycles.
4. It is well balanced and comes up naturally to the shoulder. The cheek pieces and back butt are adjustable and it fits well after making them.
5. Still trying to figure out which pellet it likes the best. JSB's are not working as good as I hoped and I have tried almost 30 and have a few that look like they will be good.

Hmmmm...the specs at AOA says this gun weighs 6.4 lbs. Does your scope weigh 2.2 pounds? Maybe consider using this rifle with a red dot sight or a prism sight...either one would make it much lighter, and with such a flat trajectory you wouldn't need to hold over or under out to its effective range of 40-50 yards. Is there is too much weight forward with the air bottle making it feel too heavy? Maybe AOA would let you exchange it for a .22 Wildcat if your not happy with it...especially since you just got it and it is hardly used so far. I know a Wildcat would definitely be easier to cock than what you described.

This is the big problem with not being able to just walk into an airgun store and hold an airgun in your hands and shoot it before you buy it. We just have to hope for the best...well good luck with it. I hope you can exchange it for something lighter that suits you better. Darren at AOA has always been extremely fair and understanding about things like this and I am sure he will work something out with you. After all, he wants to keep you for a customer for life not just this one purchase. Call him up and see what he says. You are never going to be happy if you feel like it is too heavy to hold up and shoot.

Best regards, Chuck
