Break Barrel Sling Mounts ( Pics)

I don't have any great closeups handy but here's a quick one. The real thing you need to be concerned with mounting the clamp on the barrel is to make sure it's far enough forward so it does not come in contact with the cocking rod when fully cocking the gun and not so far forward that it will cause the barrel to open when carrying. Slings are totally up to you, leather, synthetic, wide, narrow, padded, etc. Wider one's displace weight better...

Great advice! Looks like 1-1.5" in front of the barrel breech block sounds good. The rear stock screw should be forward enough so shouldering the rifle isn't affected. On your Weihrauch it looks to be about 2.5" from the rubber butt pad. Your placement looks good. I will probably go with a 1" wide black synthetic sling.

I bought this Uncle Mikes barrel clamp swivel kit for both my Hatsan 1095XS and Edge 1000x rifles. I also bought packs of the black & white spacers to doll them up with on the butt stock mounts. Real easy to bolt on, just follow the directions for the barrel clamp one. It has to go on a certain way to fit properly. Here's a video I did awhile back showing how to do it;

This is the sling I went with. In black. The last one.

Thx ! That's the same one I purchased.

Mounted my sling but having an issue with the front moving on the barrel. The package states it for barrels between .630" -.675". Since my Sigs barrel is .632" and on the lower end of that range I'm going to have to shim it. Plus, the hex drive screw that came with the kit is defective. The Allen wrench doesn't go in far enough and I ended up rounding out the hex in the screw. I used an Easy-Out to remove the screw. Thought it was a 8-32 but it turned out to be a M4-.70 screw. I've got to turn the head down on a lathe from .272" to right around .212" in order for the screw to work. No big deal. Here is one pick before I removed the front.
