Brass bases for impact and pp700

Been wanting to do this for a while so made some time today. Got this lovely oak grip for the pistol from a member here and made these 1/4 bases for the butt pad and grip on impact. And grip for pp700.

Wow! Definitely looks like a class act Nathan! And I like the fact that you left the wood unfinished...the one thing I would do though is make them waterproof. At Home Depot and all paint stores you can find water based sealer for concrete and masonry - it looks like milky water - but when it's dry it is completely clear and you can't even tell it was applied except that now water will just bead up and roll off and even moisture cannot penetrate. I would give all your wood on the gun a couple good saturating coats of sealer. Just a thought...

All the best, CHUCK

Thanks Gentlemen and Chuck I used boiled linseed oil to finish the parts I made off. Been out in the rain several times since they were made and they're holding up very well. Thanks for the tip though!

Who supplied the wood grip on that PP700?

I concur regarding the brass- looks amazing. Another good choice for protecting the wood is boiled linseed oil- takes a number of coats though 😒

BLO does indeed work well and easy to use. The pistol grip was made by Fuciliere on the forum here.

Thanks boys!
