Boy does that piss me off when UPDATE

Please read the entire post. Utah Airguns came thru like no other. Unbelievable how far they went to get it right. Customer for life here.

you talk directly to sales person at Utah Airguns, they make sure that every thing is in stock, take your money and when they ship it there is only one item being sent, not the 2 items that were ordered. No email or call nothing. Had I known this was going to happen I would have went to AOA, Straight Shooters, anyone else who has it in stock. What really gets me is that I got charged for the stock they didn't send. I emailed Utah AG asking for a resolution because waiting 4 to 6 weeks is not a solution. I dont think they give a %#$@.

I have a funny feeling this will be the last time I deal with Utah Airguns.

.

Maybe the other item is being drop shipped from somewhere else. I have unfortunately found that most of the time when I want to flip out, there is more to the story and I wind up feeling foolish. Sometimes not. In case you haven’t noticed, there is a migration going on and it’s not helping anyone who was used to normal AOA, Utah or PA service. Things have definitely changed and it’s not the fault of our once reliable companies. It’s the bombardment of new consumers and their demands.

It happened to me twice in the last couple months from 2 different well liked sources. I believe what they saw in inventory was just recently depleted. Without understanding how all their systems work, it’s hard to make assumptions. I doubt a guy getting bombarded with phone calls physically gets up and walks back to the warehouse and touches the product you’re after. I think they just rely on what the computer tell them is there. It’s the new norm until things calm down.

I’m in a similar boat. I ordered pellets 6 week ago, and some were 2nd choices as I ordered what was “in stock”. I quickly received shipping notification, and when I checked tracking, shipping had been cancelled. My card was charged for the purchase, and now all is back ordered. I was going to cancel the order and get my money back, but I have 2 other pellet orders from different vendors, also on back order, so I’m trying to just be patient. Seems a bit sneaky on their part though. It would be a great time to be in the pellet/ammo biz, sellers market for sure. And here I thought wind would be my biggest challenge in airgunning......

One thing I will say about my two visits to Utah Airguns. I found the staff pretty knowledgeable. I got to meet Justine on my first visit, when I mentioned I had a Leshiy 2 needing to set it up,he said if you want to sight it in on our range feel free.

A friend of mine ordered a LDC and UA said it wasn’t in stock, and it arrived the next day. When I was at the store their website said it wasn’t in stock, but they had stuff on the shelf. Lots going in and out.

I agree with @vetmx volumes in and out and ppl make mistakes. The best you can do is make sure you don’t get charged double shipping. Krale is known for doing double shipping if the order is “split” and you don’t want to wait for what isn’t in stock, had it happened. Also, I put together an order at Krale, everything was supposed to be in, paid, went to store for pick up and 2 items weren’t. Krale’s excuse was they made a mistake but we will send you the stuff for 7 euros- $8.50. It was an hour and half drive each way, so no choice.

I talked to them over the phone just to make sure everything was on hand to ship. And they still got paid for something I did not receive.

To me, it seems perfectly reasonable to expect the result that they said would happen. As to "it's not their fault because of A,B, or C" there is some merit to that BUT the seller would seem to be ultimately responsible for the result. Shipping errors seemingly could be given a bit more latitude but not much else, IMO. Most everything else seems to fall back on the seller.

I can give a specific related issue. I ordered a large supply of spare parts for various guns from AirGunSpares (the John Knibbs company). They packed and shipped quite quickly and informed me of progress. The shipment left England and arrived in Chicago in a matter of a few days and has been "in Chicago" for several weeks now. Not AirGunSpares fault directly, but they do choose how to get items to the US customer. These days, there may be no reliable option for out of country sellers to control what happens once a shipment arrives in the US, but it ultimately would fall back to AirGunSpares, it seems. I'm waiting patiently for the parts as I don't need them right now. Others may need or want what they ordered in a timely (guaranteed?) period. Especially if it is a completely in country transaction.

UPDATE STARTS HERE

WOW... you talk about customer service.

I sent an email off to Utah Airguns. I explained my displeasure of being shipped my gun without a butt stock and a 4 to 6 week wait was not acceptable. Well let me tell ya, these guys came thru with aces. Landry replies to my email, tells me " Sorry about the misunderstanding on the back order on that order. What we will do is i'm just going to pull one from a carbine model so we can get you shooting. Does that work for you? Please let me know and i'll get it ready." I answered him immediately. "That would be great, and I would appreciate it beyond belief." Then to top it off Mike calls me, tells me whats going on and although FED-EX has picked up for the day one of the guys in shipping is going to drop it off. I really am overwhelmed with the degree of service and hospitality these guy gave me. I am completely blown away.

With service like this I just became a big fan and a long term customer of UTAH AIRGUNS. Thank you all for reading this post and your input. Thank you UTAH AIRGUNS for all you have done for me and for showing me you really do care.

I have had nothing but great experience with UA. They have the same struggles as everyone else when it comes to inventory in this messed up state the world is in right now. Their customer service is second to none. I have called them numerous times with all kinds of questions and they take all the time needed to make sure I get the proper answers and guidance. I had a issue with my Impact X valve rod that kept plaguing me and when I shared witht them the problem they said they would ship me all the updated replacment parts asap free of charge! Thats kickass service there!
