Honestly there is not much difference between the 2. The mk2 now fills with a probe versus the mk1 has a foster fill. They are same in power. I had one the last mk1's and my buddy has the mk2 to hold and shot them they felt like the same gun. They were both .30 cals.

I prefer the older model. Not a fan of the fill probe and not a fan of sticking my head in front of the barrel to check pressure. Regulator pressure gauge is completely worthless to me.

Both of them are cool. No difference in performance or accuracy.
I had the MK1 version and I like it that way. Pulps is right, sticking ones head out to check the fill pressure ain't fun. With the MK1, the gauge is in the stock. A slight tilt and you can check the fill pressure. Plus the MK2 comes with a longer tank which to me increases the weight. I am ok with the smaller tank on the MK1. While it gives 27 good shots on the regulator, I don't think the added weight of the longer tank is worth those additional shots. Also since the fill probe on the MK1 is behind, I can tether my air tank to it easily and continue shooting without worrying about air from a benchrest position.

I HAVE THE MK1 AND IN .30 CALL THE LOOK AND FINISH IS OUTSTANDING. LOVE THE STOCK SLIM LINE. I THINK THEY HAD IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. THE FAT STOCK ON THE MK2 THE AIR GAUGE ON TOP PROBE,, I LOVE MY MK1. AND I THINK IT WILL BE A GUN THAT MOST WILL TRY TO GET AFTER THERE ALL IN SOMEONES GUN CASE SO IF YOU HAVE ONE HOLD ON TO IT,,,,,

I'm after a MK2 as it has (I believe), the following improvements: 1. Comes standard with a Competition Grade Regulator 2. Dual pressure gauge system that reads regulator and air supply pressures. 3. The probe filling port has an integrated twist-open dust cover. 4. The cocking lever is Longer (like the Ranchero MK1) and in billet aluminum.
