Bobcat is still one of the most beautiful and accurate air rifles out there!

Hm..I just realized I can't post some photos of my bobcat in here.
I read in some forums that this is one of the ugly air rifles...I also read that a smooth twist barrel is accurate only up to a distance of say100 yards/meters max.

Well if you want to see a really BEAUTIFUL rifle (with a minimum of an aesthetic add-on) wich is also very ACCURATE shooting at 250 yards, just visit the channel I made a few days ago and see my long range shot.
The Jsb I shot hit (very hard!) the target only 3 inches low and 2.5 inches right from the point of aim (center of the target). Here is the link to the shot:

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think many of the plastic guns are good looking but I don’t guess I get to the statement “shes a beauty” until I see a really nice wood stock. But a really tight group at 50+ yards is a thing of beauty but that’s a totally different thing.

Cannot deny the classic beauty of a walnut stock (I have a Huntsman Regal,2 S-510's and I am setting eyes on a BSA r-10 latelly) but...there is definitelly something in this gun I tell you...Maybe it is in the touch :) :) :)
100% with you regarding the tight group at 50!

I'm sorta with you but for me there are guns I like the look of (in terms of shape and design) which is different to what I would consider "beautiful".

A high grade nicely figured Walnut can be beautiful but it can still be cut into a shape that is not aesthetically pleasing. To me, most bullpups look better as all black guns as the modern tactical design just looks odd in a wood stock. It's like using wood for the body of a modern sports car, golf club, or IPad - it would just look out of place and old fashioned.

I have seen some Wood Bobcat stocks duplicated from the original plastic and they did not look good at all.

I don't particularly love the look of the Bobcat or the design but, if you were looking for a good deal on a used FX bullpup, it is probably the one to get. While the crowds are cooing over the newer Wildcat and Impact, the Bobcat can be found in the classifieds at a discounted rate and it has a better feature set than the Wildcat. The heavier thicker design is better for stable bench shooting too.

If I ruled the world n stuff, I would have discontinued the Bobcat (along with half of FX's line up) and made the Wildcat with larger capacity mags and a power adjuster. I find it hard to believe that anyone is still paying $1800 for a new Bobcat but I guess they must be.
