i know there was a topic recently regarding bore cleaners, and I linked this one from airtanksplus.com. But, nothing beats having it in your actual hands, really.
Too busy with honey doos to actually try it(plus all my barrels are spotless) but my initial impressions are Wow! Well made product, even comes in its own case to allow me to say “a great piece of kit”.
I can see why its imprevious to any tupe of chemical due to the pvc like outer coating and that machined red handle gives the perfect grip between the fingers used for pulling thru. No sharp edges, and not big and bulky like the 1/2” pvc handle I made with the home brew weed eater line set up I USED to use, lol.
im looking forward to using the mop like strings to pull thru the barrel. My main form of cleaning barrels is to pull the barrel off, Mount it on a padded vice, then run a Dewey rod thru it. But that method always required me to re sight in. This kit is small enough to bring in my range bag, and will be perfect for those quick, in between cleanings with the Dewey rod.
