BIPODS.... So, it begins!!

My latest video is simply an introduction to the bipods I'll be reviewing and testing. I also cover a little bit about the final test I'll be putting them through, an accessory for your bipod, and a quick mention about two bipods that haven't been announced to the public yet!

I've already started the testing on a couple of bipods and am editing the footage between working enormous hours at work (tomorrow starts a 96 hour shift). One of them has already failed under the pressures of, what I thought was, a pretty easy testing process.

I'm contemplating picking up a few more as I progress through this process. If you have one in mind that you'd like to see me test and get my opinion on, let me know. If you have one that you'd like to lend to me for testing, shoot me a PM. ;)

Happy Shooting!

Tom

have not seen these before.

How about this UTG bipod? Its about $40 on Amazon.com, and I like them so much I've bought four over the past six months. Better than any of the Chinese "clones" that sell for as much or more than this one. Quick release, very sturdy, not any heavier than most, easy to adjust. For $40, can't beat it!

Yeah, I've been thinking of tossing that one into the mix. Thanks for the suggestion!

I considered them. Their normal lineup of Bipods does not interest me. I can see issues with the system just by looking at the pictures. They look like they would be a good fit in the hunting environment but less than adequate everywhere else.

What I would be interested in, from them, would be the Sentinal Woodland TRIpod ($960) with an additional set of "mini" legs (~$220?) which would allow me to have the features and functions that I believe are important for all around bipod performance. But that setup is closing in on $1200.00 and I'm not willing to drop that much money on one bipod.

Additionally, The system requires an adaptor ($60) which raises the rifle even further away from the already high system design and adds to greater instability. The system is so unique that you'd need to buy one of those adaptors for each rifle you own or move the bolt-on style adaptor back and forth.

I think their tripods are very impressive and would definitely be worth reviewing if I were focused on tripods instead of bipods.

Agreed, Giles seems to like them, he uses one in some of his videos.
