Bipods

I know this subject has been discussed to death at times, but just curious if anyone has a new favorite bipod. Light weight, functional... and reasonably priced, is the chriteria. This bipod would go on a recently purchased Mutant Shorty. I own an Atlas, and so could just put a picitinny rail on the Mutant and switch the Atlas back and forth from my Wildcat, but I'm lazy and would prefer to just put bipod on the Mutant and call it good. Might cheap out and get the Atlas knockoff as a last resort.

Thanks, Don

MOD EDIT: MOVED TO OTHER EQUIPMENT

It all depends on the platform (picatinny rail or swivel stud) and purpose (hunting or bench shooting)
hunting you need 9' and up so you can shoot over the uneven terrain
bench shooting between 6 and 9'
price is another factor that will limit your selection to the point where you have only few affordable choices assuming you don't want to pay more then 50 dollars.

"TerryH"I bought one of the Atlas clones. Never could get it to work exactly right even with the known mods. Bought the UTG 360 and super pleased with it. I got the medium size for use on my Armadas and the shorter one for my Prod. $50ish on Amazon. Work perfectly. Every thing locks in solidly. Very pleased with them.

I have another UTG bipod early model. For the money it is very good. Not as adjustable as your 360. I would like to try the 360 at some point. They seam to get good reviews.

I think the 360 is about the best bang for the buck out there. Would have like to have had a Atlas but sheesh, no way I'm pending that much on a bipod. The forward and aft adjusting screws on the pivot ball work super well on the 360. You can easily adjust from basically having it be stationary to all manor of pivot, cant, and pan. Pretty cool piece for a good price.

I had the same experience as you. I really like the UTG 360 and it's only 2.5 oz. heavier then the Atlas clone. Thinking about getting another 360 just in case
