Best PCP rifle bang for the buck

Of the PCPs I currently own and those I have owned -- FX Impact (X), FX Wildcat, FX Royale, Daystate Regal, Daystate Wolverine, Vulcan Tactic, Vulcan2 tactic, Ataman (bullpup), Air Arms S510, Taipan Veteran and maybe one or two other that I don't recall at the moment -- the Taipan Veteran stands out from the crowd. For the price, none of my other PCPs matches my Taipan Veteran(s).

The Taipan Veteran .25 caliber Long, I highly recommend.

What cost are you aiming for?

@ TNT19, Honestly I'm trying to if i can find a sweet spot for under $1000, As my 2nd PCP purchase within the previous month I don't care (Yet) for all the bells and whistles, I'm looking for a reliable, accurate and easy to use/fun PCP, A step above the Mrod field and target in power and performance .25 cal or larger, Without breaking the bank, If i had to go above $1000 thats ok as long as the value was worth the extra Buck$

Thanks Ranchibi, But do you think the JSAR Raptor offer 4x the value compared to a Umarex Gauntlet or 2x the value compared to a MRod?

Avoid the gauntlet unless you're willing to do a good bit of work and spend extra money turning it into a decent gun. It's so ruffly machined out of the box that it feels like it's full of sand. On top of the poor machining and heavy bolt pull the gun is long and a bit heavy. Before I did a lot of grinding the action of mine had to be hammered back into the stock and the forestock fit poorly. I spent more than the price of the gun turning into a decent gun for my adult son. He loves it now and won't sell it for another model. He's 6"4" though.

Definitely my biased opinion but I had Daystates and Brococks and I’d have to say my new JSAR Raptor (s) is/are, have one, second one is on order.

I think it all depends on your perspective of cost (your budget) vs what you are getting . A Marauder is a great pcp especially the new model with LW barrel. I for one wanted a long range .22 which the Raptor is as it’s a 60ft/lb gun out of the box with tensioned shroud, TJ barrel, larger plenum, AR furniture, side lever, 500cc bottle that gets over 100 shots etc..That is what I wanted. My suggestion to you was yes it is worth the cost to me compared to a stock Marauder or Gauntlet. In order to get both of those to do what the Raptor or Impact or RAW can achieve your investment will get closer to these mentioned. Good luck in your pcp purchase quest!
