Best IR flashlight?

Due to another member (Andy--thanks alot) I finally dug out the night vision my wife purchased me years ago for my scope. The IR vision helps a ton, but the IR "flashlight" it came with is now broken (literally fell apart in my hands).

What is the "best" torch available in IR to illuminate the area? Preferably not weighing a ton. Cost is fairly irrelevant.

Thank you guys in advance!

What wavelength does your "night vision my wife purchased me years ago" need/use. For best brightest/clearest NV, must use the correct wavelength light. The wrong light can give very poor NV.

Not all Night Vision Devices are compatible with all IR Flashlights, they operate at different wavelengths. Flashlight companies design IR flashlights between 730nm to 1200nm. It is important to find an IR flashlight that is compatible with the wavelength of the NVD that your using.

Find what you need and let us know and i can make a great recommendation on what IR flashlight to get...

Good point! Thank you so much.

I am 99.99999% certain its 850nm

I got my el-cheap-o night vision from Alli Express. It came with no instructions or documentation. I have no idea what “nm” or wave length bla bla it is. But I got this IR light off Amazon. Light , rechargeable batteries, charger, rat tail switch. And clamp. All for just under $100.00. Works for me just fine. Here is the link to what I have. Although it is not available at Amazon at this time. It will give you some good reference material.
And with this set up I’ve seen rats out to 100 yards. Well , I’ve seen their eyes 👀

Thank you! There seem to be a few options in that price range. I'm hoping to find one that somebody is currently using so I'm sure it's good. The crappy one I got works, but sucks..

Fenix TK25 IR is a great 850nm wavelength light that imo is one of the best if not the best...

Fenix is a high quality light, using real emiters not clones, with square threads, high quality durable military grade anodizing, and high quality potted drivers. Fenix are absolutely great weapons lights imo, I have many.

TK25IR have been discontinued unfortunately, but just got one discounted last month from

Thank you. I'll have to look around for that one. That link shows product is unavailable.
