Best grp so far with .22 Mod Marauder .347 in at 50 yards

Braving the cold in the desert but shot a few more groups after getting the rifle back from Motorhead. Still new to the gun but had the wind calm to get this group. The rifle shoots great with the new Marmot barrel and HUMA regulator. Here's the 5 shot group at 50 yards. I think I can do even better with more time with the rifle.

Very nice group! I must have gotten lucky with my Gen 1 .22. I got it used from a reputable seller and it never ceases to amaze me! Mine has the stock Crosman barrel and get 25 good shots from 735 to 745 and down to 735 with JSB heavies, using a 2100 psi fill pressure. Just got a Corcoran stock for it, don't think I'll be letting go of this one!

Very nice group NM! Glad you finally got it accurate. I have not had much chance to shoot mine since I put the MM barrel in mostly due to weather but looking forward to spring to really wring it out. So far I am very impressed with it though. I have got some 1/4" to 3/8" groups with it.

Yes John that is a beautiful stock! Is there a link you can post for it? I'm glad you got a good one to start with. But like NM I have learned a lot from mine.

I have only shot around 200 rounds so I haven't checked it yet. We are starting to warm up so I can finally get outside. With El Nino, you guys get the milder weather and we get the cold. Coldest winter in 6 years here in New Mexico. First time wearing a winter coat for two months! Hope to do some longer shooting next weekend. I'll keep you posted.

"NMshooter"I am OK with all of it, was a good learning experience and learned a lot! Very nice stock. I think that will be my last modification.
Where did you get it?
I got the stock used from an ad on the Yellow classifieds. the original owner no longer had a Marauder and wanted the space. Steve's ad is at the bottom of the page, Woods and Water Outdoors. I'm not sure if Steve is taking orders now or not. He does excellent work, the gun shoulders really well and is more comfortable than the original stock.
As far as learning experences, I got my .25 from a friend who had gotten it wet and some rust developed on the air tube. I put on a new air tube which involved tearing down the the gun till the only parts still connected were the breech and barrel! I have to say the marauder is easy to work on and a total rebuild like that gave me a good understanding of how everything works! I tuned the .25 for a low fill, 2400psi to start and I get 20 decent shots from 767 fps to 785 and back down to 767fps. Tuning can make you crazy IMO!
