Best Experiments That Worked!

Mine was rifling Gamo Express shotgun barrels, awesome accuracy...lets hear from you guys/gals on things that have that are that are not the normal modifications and aftermarket parts. I recently have been experimenting with reloading Gamo shot shells with longer shot shell cases and larger loads. Not much progress..but I'll keep trying!

Dark not in your league but a couple of years ago I invented the “Never miss the Bullseye at Any distance target assistant”. Some of the guys said they would use it at ebr but I think the rules prohibited its use.

😁

Not thread heisting, but I have a thought on how a shotshell might work a little better, but I'm not sure how the original air shotshells are loaded.

My idea is to actually use a 28 gauge or 410 bore hull, pop the primer out and load the hull as normal by cutting down the mouth the measurement that would be taken by the powder. Using a regular wad and perhaps #9 shot, folding a not too heavy crimp so shot won't leak out. Pretty much just like loading a real powder burner.

Using the open primer hole, the probe should fit right inside, maybe a modified one with a large o-ring to back of the hull? Just thinking that these could be loaded as a normal shotshell and carried around like a shotshell in a vest or bag.

I don't have access to a barrel making machine or know how to use one, but had this concept for a number of years. Thought that maybe with your talent, you could mull it over too? Maybe that's how an air shotshell is already loaded and I don't know it!

I know how you feel, after I rifled my Gamo Express shotgun barrels, I want to see if I could increase the llethality of the shot shells, Rifling dropped the pellet speed from 625 fps to 550 fps, but much, much more accurate. I can't find the right combination between shot load weight and velocity/accuracy. The #9 shot-shells that the gun comes with just have no penetrating/knock down power!

I customized the stock on the old Daisy then I shortened the barrel to make it more accurate. Then I made some custom 32.25MOA scope mounts for to be able to shoot it further too. I use this with the Never Miss Bullseye Assistant and I never miss my long distance shots! ;^) I'm sure to win at the EBR competition no one stands a chance against me. They should all just withdraw their names.

BIOHAZARDMAN, couple things I picked up on is the highly adjustable power level ( for those NASTY WIND CONDITIONS @ EBR?only negatives is the slight variables in consistency on repositioning in the bags after each shot ?, and getting through TSA?... That’s The most AWSOME post I’ve seen on this forum ever!!! You have a very good sense of humor sir,I CAN RELATE!

I threw out the conventional dogma of the revered Artillery Hold out the window. Started holding my springers tight for very consistent results.

BLASPHEMY ! (🤣

How dare you hold a Springa in any way form or fashion otha than the prescribed artillery hold! An air gun is to be caressed not squeezed aimlessly. I would say the results were likely consistently amiss. Of all the gall. Brethren, heed my call and do not follow down this loathsome path. 🤣😬
