"Best" Competition Rifle?

It is equally important to ABSOLUTELY have no doubt in your equipment which makes it a HEAD GAME ! So while a gun capable of excellence we all want, it is much like the SWORD of a bygone age that those who live & die by the blade had better know how to wield it. Yes I think for many in the shooting sports it comes down to the best prepared & practiced shooters likely being top contenders. Brand of gun is only a shell with many successful shooters simply not talking about how NOT STOCK there hardware actually is.

* not talking stock class shoots .... But your typical LV / HV / Unlimited benchrest or the ranks of Field Traget shooters with many hybrid actions in play.

Get an action that fits, balances well, stellar trigger and get to work fine tuning it !! .... trust it unquestionably putting you head in the game of actually shooting, guaranteed you will be a better shooter in short order.

A couple points, the consensus seems to be that the wind is the deciding factor at EBR. The winner Claudio Flores is from Patagonia. In the fly fishing world Patagonia Chili/Argentina is know for two things: a world class fishing destination for it's huge Sea Trout (anadromous Brown Trout) and the high unrelenting winds found there. So if Mr. Flores shoots there it is probably in the wind. I think this shows up not only in the fact that he won EBR but also in his choice of equipment. He shot high BC pellets at high velocity.
