best bullpup

Concerning FX issues, I have four FX's and each one has made me want to get another one! I've had no issues with the guns however I have had problems with REPLACEMENT mags, FX U.S.A. is working with me and FX support is working with me to get to the bottom of this mag. problem, Johan Axelsson responded back to me within a day wanting pictures and details of the problem. FX U.S.A. insisted on "reviewing" the gun, they sent me a shipping label asap, I'm almost certain the mags. were made incorrectly, but the concern FX has shown is very gratifying. Even the BEST made things can have problems, I can only speak for FX, I'm certain I would love any of these other Bulpups, but I can't imagine more fun guns to shoot than the FX Wildcats!

You must obey the YouTubers and join the FX movement.

All joking aside, I’m a +1 for the .25 Cricket. Mine is several years old and I’ve never had an issue with it. In fairness, it’s E. Rowe tuned at 45 fpe with the ability to go to 60fpe. Power tuned Crickets are hard to beat in terms of power+accuracy+reliability. If I were in the market for another compact hunter / pup I’d be looking at the Edgun Lelya or R5M. I like to base decisions on the usual stuff like reputation & quality, plus things like: Ed seems like a really cool, nice guy that I want to see succeed. The FX wildcat Mk2 is obviously a consideration here, as is the Impact. At the end of the day, just go in, eyes wide open and do whatever your heart / gut tells you. HTH(?)

The Kalibrgun Cricket is really a solid performer. Sure there are videos of Impacts doing amazing things and just as many people having issues in the forums here. Look for a problem with the Crickets.....tough to find. Mine has been tuned by Mr. Rowe; the consistency is superb and the trigger breaks at 9 oz. The 12 round simple mags and the 4 mag holder makes it a great hunter. Also, I dont recall hearing anyone here replacing the stock reg for an aftermarket, could be wrong. I have not shot lots of pups but, the Cricket is almost perfect. Oh, the where to put the cocking lever after a new mag is loaded, that bugs me a bit but not a real negative.

Wow...this is a tough one. I've owned the Cricket and a Vulcan. I'm going to say the Cricket out of the choices so far. I've owned 3 total 2 in .25 and they where very simple to work on and super accurate. It's still currently my all time best bullpup only because of the run time I've had with them and that 12 round mag. The Edgun R5M long is gaining ground, again super easy to maintain, on board mag holders, forward cocking and very tunable. In it's stock form is can almost match the Cricket super tune, add a huma and things really change for the better. Both are super tough and durable. Ed has to be the first to run one his guns over with a SUV. 😄 Honestly you can't go wrong with either of them. Goodluck.

You mentioned Hatsan, which are considerably cheaper.

Well, how then you might also consider the Diana Skyhawk (about to be released any day now)?

• Diana Skyhawk, here in .22 cal
$750? (final price tba)
Shot count I estimate at least 40, since it has a fairly large cylinder (265cc), with high pressure (3620psi)
Shrouded, quiet
6 lbs light
29" short
This is factory regulated!
Nice side lever (not a bolt)
32FPE

Black wood edition, or walnut, or beech

Have the p15 in 25 great little light bp. Was waiting on the skyhawk but if the price is $750 I’ll buy the Artemis p15 in 177 and save money. I already bought aftermarket pimp out parts for 2 p15. I do like the p15 platform

To be fair, I've owned only one bull pup and it this 33" 1st Gen. Wildcat. I bought it new. It has one of Matt's mag holders and a MTC Viper Connect (zero eye relief) scope. I've not had a moments trouble with it and I've owned it since they came out. It is .25. I had the stock dipped in Sitka Gear Sub-Alpine.

While this gun does what I want, if I were buying today I'd probably by a Cricket. If the new Mini-Carbine comes in .25 that would probably do me I don't like Birch stocks. I'd have it dipped as well.
