A lot of people on here love their Weihrauch Hw50s. Plenty of juice for squirrel and rabbit sized game and they are lightweight. Many have said the Hw95/Beeman r9 is the gun they would keep if they could only have one. They can do everything you could ask of a springer. The Hw30/Beeman r7 is well liked also. I’ve heard you never see a used hw30/r7 for sale because they are so well liked by their owners. I don’t know what sized game you can ethically hunt with them though that would be up to the owners discretion. There will be many opinions on that.

theres nothing fun about cranking a break barrel for every shot and 'all' of them i ever dealt with were too inaccurate for 'effective' pest control .. im sure there are some that cost more than a decent pcp that may be, although i still think even those are unreliable when ot ounts and will throw random fliers 'cold' .. anyway that said ive had probably 10 of them and the only one i kept because it was light, points well, has no 'fluff' bs gimmicks like plastic silencers etc its just plainjain and fairly accurate is a gamo big cat in .22 ..

This is like "what kind woman is most attractive". There are so many guns that fit this bill. I have a pretty extensive vintage collection and there are quite a few that are hard to put down. BSA, Webley, Weihrauch, Theoben, Diana, FWB, and a few others. My preference to buy new today knowing what I do would probably be an R7. More power is fun too so maybe the R9 (HW95). Many will select the HW50 but I don't like the stock. Bring back an updated R8 with a classic stock! I will buy one right away

Disagree on almost all counts. Maybe you never learned to shoot them effectively. I have a number of them that are EXCELLENT and RELIABLE as pesters and hunters. I can EASILY use mine out to 50 yards and that is mostly a self imposed limit. I absolutely love mine and couldn't be talked out of them. My springers in general are absolutely fantastic.

A few of my favorites are my R9, HW80, Asp20......all can easily kill chipmunks no questions asked out to 50 yards. Period.
