Best Bang For The Buck $ 700.00 and Under FFP Scope ??

I posted this, https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/vector-optics-34mm-continental-5-30x56ffp-vs-element-titan-5-25x56ffp-or/

and 30Harry just got his Vector Optics 34mm Continental 5-30x56FFP and should be posting his personal experiences any day now. This scope sells for $799 and I think this might be exactly what you are looking for? I am waiting to hear from 30Harry or others to confirm the performance as this scope on paper versus others seems to be the best performance versus for that price range? Yo and Cyclops has had good things to say about the Vector Optics lower end models. This is a brand new model just released and I think it is their top tier model.

I have the Athlon and Vortex scopes. Paid about $350 for each. 6-24, FFP, good reticles, bright glass, what more could you ask for?

Lots and lots of good deals out there. Follow Joe Wayne Rhea on Airgun101 for good reviews. Doesn't mince words. His testing is usually an attempt to demolish the scope through intense use. Good stuff there.

Good scopes are easier to find these days for budget prices than years ago. Great time to shoot!

...only JSAR sells the FFP but I REALLY DONT KNOW THEIR WARRANTY?

The problem with the JSAR scope is lack of info/poor info.

https://www.jsairrifles.com/JSAR-45X-27X-Variable-Power-Scope-FFP_p_190.html

It supposedly has a milliradian reticle though it's hard to tell from the picture..

The main pictures and turret pictures on the sales page do not match each other. And they show 1/4 MOA or 1/4" turrets. But the listing says 1/10MOA.

1/10MOA would be very fine adjustments which could be a good thing. But a little odd, especially if it really is a milliradian reticle because most other FFP scopes tend to have matching reticles/turrets.

Problem is they aren't even a scope company. Probably bought 500- 1000 units blank scopes no label and put their logo on them from Alibaba. I was going to do the same for the FFP since Aim Sports only markets the SFP but I can't t use 1000 of them even if they cost only $80-$90 each unlabeled unbranded like theirs.

I Appreciate all the replies to this point ..

I can tell you with ZERO doubt the JSAR is NOT even an option..

That company is obviously independently wealthy and my money is no good there...

I have sent no less than 10 emails, called and left no less that 10 messages , over a 6 month period..

Not one reply to any of those so the bottom line is ....If that is a representation of their customer service They can kiss my ass and call me shorty...

I have really been happy with my vortex Diamondback tactical ffp ebr-2c moa reticle but I wanted just a little more magnification and that led me to the vector 34mm 5-30x56. While it is almost twice the price of the vortex, it's the only one I could find with the reticle and power. It looks really good so far but I'm trying to get the time to do a side by side with the votex. The vector is one beefy scope and it was packed like they expected it to be dropped off a mountain which it might have been, depending on which shipper they used. It arrived in perfect shape. If you don't need 30x or you don't want to spend that much money, I can recommend the vortex 6-24x50 ffp. But so far the vector looks well worth the extra dollars.

More in a few days.

Also I'm waiting on adjustable rings to put it on my red wolf. They are supposed to be here Monday. Then the real test begins. FX Crown with vortex vs Daystate Red Wolf with Vector. ☺️

The Athlon Midas-Tac and Ares BTR for your price range. They are very similar, but have slightly different options to differentiate them from each other. I liked the Midas Tac a little better, but I haven’t tried the latest model Ares BTR yet. It can be had for $500 used, and it is hard to beat.

Many new optics have come to market the last couple years that have really improved that price range. Many listed above have been well reviewed.

So far it looks like one heck of scope and I cannot wait to read more of your views on your real world testing! It is so new that you are so far probably the only person providing great feedback...

Id be better off buying the 34mm Athlon Ares ETR unbranded for a little more than that. Then I could sell them for $300 instead of $1199 and afford to do a one time warranty swap and toss in the trash for each and break even.

Wait what???

Expound please.

I seriously doubt any scope mentioned in this thread can compete with the ETR. The Athlon ETR is one of, if not ""THE""" premier bargain/s in it's price range. I know because I've compared it to S&B PM2, March FX, and Kahles, the optical quality in my opinion is 98-99% of them! Everything else about the scope is exceptional as well, even though the reticle isn't my favorite.
