Best . 22 Pellet

it really does depend on your rifle of choice. My impact loves the jsb redesigned 25.39 gr. My 22 R10 hates them but loves the edgun 18.1 pellets. I think a good starting point would be the jsb 18.1 pellets. I would buy a tin of each (if you can find them) and see what your air gun likes. If you can tune your gun try to tune it to your pellet choice. My lelya came with a shoot all tune but wasted alot of air. I now have it dialed in for the edgun 18.1 for about 60 shots per 250bar fill.

16 shots 😳 We need to talk. My .25 Lelya gets 5 mags shooting 25.39s at 893. My 177 Lelya gets 70ish shots shooting 10.34s at 895. Surely that’s a typo...

The best pellet is the one your specific gun shoots the most accurately with and all guns have their own best pellet preference. You have to try for yourself. For me the best pellets are the cheapest ones I can find that shoot most accurately in my guns.

This is probably the 'best' answer you are going to get. Different guns like different brands, styles and weights of pellets.

I normally start out with JSBs in most guns. Although I generally also try Daystates in Daystate guns, AA's in Air Arms guns and FX's in FX guns as well.

I thought I had found the best pellet for my HW110 I am currently selling. It seemed to like the JSB 18.13gr pellets better than the JSB 15.89's, so I was only shooting the heavier JSB's with it.

At the request of Odoyle (who might buy the gun), I tested it this morning with cheap Crosman 14.3gr hollow points. My 25 yard 10 shot groups with these pellets were better than my 5 shot groups with the expensive JSB's. Who'da thunk it???

#1 JSB 18.13, #2 AirArms 18 & 16gr, #3 H&N. 21gr Barracuda Match. I have'nt gotten a tin of FX 15.89 and 18.13gr yet but I'd bet they will do well. H&N Field Target Trophy 14.66gr in 3 different pellet head sizes (5.53/5.54/5.55 should be explored. After that start trying the less costly stuff like Crossmans and H&N Spitzkugel. I'm curious to try the H&N,s wadcutters myself. If what you try don't shoot so well use them for fodder shots like Re-seasoning the barrel after it's been cleaned or checking operational status after an adjustment,or analyzing a performance issue. The specs for the Sig give a FPS of 700 FPS.That is alittle low for where 18gr pellets may perform best at. I'm sure there are several guru,s here that can help guide you with that aspect. Good luck, let us know what you learn.
