Best 100yd for 2k

What's the best gun for dedicated benchrest for 2k or less

Have you tried entering your question in the search bar? Loads of information exists in the forums concerning that sort of question. Many have asked and more have answered. For example here are a couple of results that came up. https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/exploring-air-gun-benchrest/

https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/best-22-25-for-75-100yrds/

Sifting through the answers may help you get started, but there are more threads to peruse should you feel inclined to search. You may also want to see which platforms competitive benchrest shooters use and win with, without the expectation that the same make and model gun you buy will be comparable out of the box.

Also, what do you mean by 2K? Is that just for the gun? Gun and scope? Gun, scope and a tank?

Do you want to shoot slugs or pellets? .22, .25 or .30? What's your preference?

As for what works, any FX will shoot MOA groups at 100 yards. Other brands can do the same, I just don't have experience with them. I have a Gen 1 Impact that will shoot 1 single ragged hole at 75 yards. Only done that once, but the gun can outshoot me any day.

Best is subjective, so more info needed

2k or less in gun with mods or upgrades to the gun needed to be competitive at 100yds. No scope or bipod in price. .30 caliber most likely. Sub moa. Could care less what a certain brand/model is capable at less or further than 100yds. Gun could be used or new. Just looking for input on what competitors on a budget would go with. I'd also be interested to hear guns people regretted buying for benchrest.

Charity, Dez, is not always your long suit. Besides we have rules and moderators to tell other people what they're allowed to post and what questions are allowed to ask. That's not my job or yours.

Impacts are habitually in the top 3 in competitions; however, it starts at $2150. Others include FX Crown .30 600mm barrel -

Dreamlines will do the job as well, but they'll cost upwards of $1700 before it'll do what you want. If $2000 is absolute top, go with the Crown. If you can stretch to $2200, get a base Impact.

good luck, way too many choices. Other brands will shoot well, just that FX is the main brand I know.

Yup the Impacts are wonderful guns in any form MK1, MK2 or M3. People usually shoot the longer barred guns a bit better.

You can usually pick up a nice used Impact for $1500 to $1750+ often as not with extra goodies included from the classifieds.

Just be sure to check several pages back to get the best deal.

The .25 guns have won quite a few matches and the .22 has taken a couple as well.

Both my .25 and .30 impacts shot less than MOA at 100 yards once I had them tuned up good. The .25 shot slugs the .30 shot the JSB pellets.

while back, someone was saying that the guns with barrels like the Impact without traditional lands and grooves do well for some reason. look at anything in those categories that is adjustable.

Only bad thing about an Impact is the number of O-Rings. Something like half a zillion. Maintenance and rebuilds require lots and lots of O-Ring replacements!

Other than that, great guns

How about a fx dreamline

@Mangoesbroke If you're asking if the Dreamline contains a lot of o-rings, good question. Looks like there are approximately 15 o-rings. At least by the photos of the o-rings in this Huma-Air o-ring replacement kit
