So I bought a Benjamin Wildfire just to play with it. When I got it in the mail all the air was leaking out the barrel when I tried to fill the tank. Any hints tips or suggestions on this or should I just throw it out?
I second mscottleeman. My old career used to do that. Try cocking the gun slowly while filling the gun with air. You may have to dry fire a few times while doing this. Try it and pm me if it doesnt work. Oh are you using a hand pump or a tank? If your using a hand pump it will be more difficult. If using a hand pump try dry firing and if it still wont fill cock the bolt open and pump a bit to loosen the debris.
I had a new discovery that had the same issue and the tech at Pyramid Air told me to put a drop of silicone oil in the fill port of the gun, fill it with air and dry fire a few times rapidly. It worked for me and must have helped dislodge any debris that was holding the valve open.
So question again. I finally have time to work on the wildfire and the air tube does not hold air. It just leaks out. So the question is does this tube have 2000psi to it at all times?
