Benjamin Marauder

Excellent!! With the lawyer spring removed, you can set the trigger up almost however you wish. I prefer single stage triggers and the marauder trigger group can easily be set single or 2 stage. Mine all break between 7-10oz. Even the Uber expensive Thomas rifle uses a marauder trigger. My opinion is a bit jaded because I am a big marauder junky, but the trigger is one of my reasons for loving the Mrod.

As ajshoots says, the trigger is very good. Remove that "lawyer spring" and the trigger becomes as good as some of the high end airguns have. I don't particularly like the trigger blade shape on the Maurader but that's just preference. It takes a bit of dialing in, like most any adjustable trigger does to fit your personal needs but the trigger is good.

I Got my Marauder from a guy who shoots field target and benchrest. He had the trigger set a two ounces! I set the trigger just a bit heavier at probably half a pound. It is what I call "telepathic", you take up the first stage, think "now" and the shot goes downrange. When I got my .25 cal, I took the trigger plates off both guns so I could see the adjustment screws, and using different thickness allen keys to gauge the screw height, I set the trigger on the .25 to duplicate the adjustments of my first one. It worked very well! Guess I'll have to keep that gun as a reference!

I’m considering adding a Marauder to the fleet. How is the trigger on that gun?

Trigger sucks, and the barrel too. It is another Chinese product. You are much better off buying a Sumatra 2500 in the price range or Walther Dominator 1250, or Hatsan Galatian or Evanix Rainstorm. Marauder needs work if you care for an accurate gun. If you getting one just to plink soda cans with and stuff no worries it will do. It is a Walmart gun basically.

i have some of the guns you are suggesting and the Marauder trigger is better then they are
i think you are upset at the 22 cal Marauder because of the bad barrel history
i have a .177 marauder that i have massaged for benchrest and it will outshoot any of those guns
the marauder trigger is one of the better production triggers available

i would give a lot if i could put a Marauder trigger in my USFT's
and my Marauder triggers are even better then my FX Royal triggers
the Marauder has been bad mouthed a lot over the years probably because of the 22cal barrel history and it's price
and i think some of it is just hearsay by people who have not even owned one

LOL. The rainstorm and galation? I owned a RS2 in .25 it sucked in the accuracy department and the trigger wasnt better than my Mrod. Never owned a galation but I owned 3 AT44 and all 3 had to be worked on out of the box to be acceptable even for the cheap price tag. The barrel on the .25 Mrod isnt a chinese barrel its a very high quality barrel but the .22 and .177 do have the cheap barrels on them.
