Benjamin Marauder slow leak

Agblitz,

Put a balloon or condom on the end of the barrel, fasten securely with a rubber band. In a few hours check it. Make sure it has no air in it, and is floppy. If it stands proud in the future, you have a valve leak. I've found that it doesn't take much as a fly spec of crap to do that, you won't even see it. Most of the time disassembly of the valve, and a good cleaning and reassembly, solve the problem.

Now that's practicing "safe shooting" to a new level!

I have a Benjamin Discovery, model BP1K77. It has a .22 cal. barrel placed on top. This really gorgeous Frankenstein preforms great. However...the air will only fill in a barrel down position. If filled laying on it's side, it dumps all the air as the release valve is opened. The check valve, I think it's called, only works if the rifle is standing on end. Once properly filled it works really well when being continually used but leaks down over night. I have never tinkered with a PCP rifle, and this was my first PCP. I've been rambling again, don't even know if this will post. Any how, any ideas?
