Benjamin Bulldog price difference question.

The design, to my best knowledge has not changed. However the Big Bore category has become more crowded since the Bulldog's release. Competition frequently results in lower prices. However, if you could provide the link for the $629 offering, I can look it over. On Crossman's site, it is still around 850, before discounts.
​I bought it as the "sportsmans pack" which included bipod, scope and soft-case. I ended up replacing both the scope and the bipod. I suggest most people buy the bare rifle and add the scope and bipod of their choice now.

I checked out the site, and it looks legit. As was said, they didn't change anything, as far as I know. I own one, and paid around 8, 9 hundred or so. I like it, not what I'd call back yard friendly, and you'll look like a storm trooper, carrying the thing around. It does have a punch.

Sportmans Guide buys in Volume. They frequently will have close outs and manufacturer overruns. They are a reputable firm that has been around over 40 years now. Some times you can find "vanilla" bulldogs in the mid to upper $500 range at places like Buds Gun Shop or Grab a Gun. All factory bulldogs are the same except for external graphics and barrels which seem to vary according to manufacturing lot (this means that the ammo mine is good with may or may not work for yours so experimentation is necessary).
