Has Anyone tried the pitbull long And the mega moderator as is stock it’s way too loud it sounds like on 22 Magnum going off I ordered the long moderator I didn’t see the mega been worth 100 more dollars but has anyone tried both I have any input I’m kind of worried now that the long moderator might not quiet it down enough

I have 4 Bulldogs and 3 have the Pitbull Megas (THE BIGGEST ONES)and one has a Donny Emperor with barrel adapter. The Emperor is night and day difference a lot quieter. The ping is all you hear. Have yet to install a depinger.

I had a Mega moderator on my Pitbull and it really worked well. People 15 feet away said they could barely hear it. As the shooter you hear it more but as an observer not so much having tried it both ways.
I kept upgrading my Bulldog into a Pitbull and then later sent it to Veradium Air for an extended tank so I had to switch to the long moderator and it's now louder. Not as loud as an un-moderated gun, maybe half as loud as un-moderated. But the performance increase was worth the sacrifice in it being somewhat louder.
I'm going to be a heretic and say that the DonnyFL moderator is OK but not the only choice. I have a Ramus Industries Trident moderator in .357 and it is actually smaller and better performing than any one of my DonnyFLs of comperable size.

I've had the mega and the long,the mega was very good at reducing the report, I got a Donny fl Ronin for my 357 Slayer and didn't like the poi change so got the adapter for the bulldog and put the ronin on the bulldog, wow really like the donnyfl and it will not interfere with the extended tube if I go that route,
