I just got a Benjamin Bulldog .357 big bore air rifle. I have not tried alot of big bores but I think I can safely say this is one of the best values out there. The feel and handling of this .357 is natural and the gun is crazy fun to shoot. No recoil, lightweight, conformable to carry, and accurate. See what this rifle does to cans and poker chips in Slow Motion HD and see this exciting big bore PCP air rifle close up in this video.

Plus footage of 960 frames per second HD slow motion. You can actually see the .357 bullet!
    (It’s the white streak)

blacksword: I actually have not shot it at 100 yards yet…or even 35 yards. I have only blown up soda cans for my slow motion video in the Part 1 review. I can’t wait to shoot it either…once it’s sighted in that is. I own 20+ air guns but at the moment, I have no place to shoot. Great gun though. I thought they were silly till I got one. Now I know they are bad ass!

NO recoil  ??  Chrony it when you have a chance. That sounds off. Mine was shooting high 800s and it had a VERY  noticeable recoil. Did you buy it used ?

I use a DonnyFL adapter for mine which allows use of the DonnyFL Emperor moderator.
With 500 acres in the middle of nowhere there is plenty of room for long range shooting of ‘Anything” airgun or otherwise. ;)
Barrels vary from manufacturing lot to lot so it takes some testing and potentially sizing of the projectiles to different diameters to find exactly what your particular gun likes. Mine shoots a different diameter than Nick Nielsen’s which was learned when testing some of his ammo.
The gun does have some very satisfying “kick” but nothing when compared to a firearm.

Stony, yours might be turned up all the way. The Allen screw in the butt pad adjusts the power.

No my bulldog was not turned up all the way. High 800s fps  is NOT its max velocity. I was using the Jsb 90 gr pellets.
