I got my chronograph few weeks ago, so I did a test on my Armada .25cal. I first used JSB 25. 39grains, and it gave average 750 fps. Then I tried several other pellets. In general my Armada delivers about 34 fpe, and I could get 32 shots from 3000psi to 1000psi. I am totally fine with these numbers, since I just do plinking. However, most Youtube videos show this rifle could shoot about 850 fps with 25.39 grains. So, is my rifle's performance normal ?? I have not done any tuning yet, and I bought this gun one month ago. I've not owned an Armada but a couple of .25 Gen 1 marauders. (same thing).
Yes, the 750 seems low for a 25g out of a marauder (sic). The 850 is about what I'm getting out of mine.
32 shots is really good considering i'm getting about 24
If your happy as it is, then I'm happy for you.
However, if you want to bump the power up just a tiny bit, what I might suggest is to put it back on the chrony, opening the velocity screw every so slightly (leaving the hammer tension and hammer throw where they are) to get the speed you want and see if your shot count decreases below an acceptable level.
I know there is going to be suggestions on adding a regulator to increase shot count further with the added bonus of more power (it will be only a small increase) and that's fine if you want to spend the money and do the install.
However, if all you are doing is plinking then spend that money on more ammo and have fun!!

FPS/FPE and shot string are all incredibly enhance-able on the Armadas and Marauders. If you don't like your velocity, number of shots, shot velocity variation, this can be remedied based solely upon your wallet. Here is an example of a Marauder which has had pretty much all of the internals upgraded by off the shelf products. The only personal
work done was drilling out the port in the barrel to .187 inches, and the bolt shape contoured for better flow (and polishing the air tube where the hammer slides). This is with JSB 25.39 grain pellets. The air rifle is currently tuned to about the minimum hammer strike it can achieve. Lots of room to go faster.
