Does the gun let air out when the bolt snap forward?

Can you close the bolt, then point in a safe direction pull the trigger?

There is an adjustment to the trigger seat against the sear that may be out of whack.

It sounds like you scored another gun. Keep the first for parts or offer it up for second hand sale. Be very careful with the gun while the tank has pressure in it.

There should be spring pressure against the cocking lever when the gun is not already cocked. When the gun is cocked, there should be almost no resistance when you draw the cocking lever back.

Shoot'em good

Well, was wondering why a forum member would spend an extra $70 buying from Amazon instead of Crosman with our 25% forum discount and free shipping on friday. Seems I got my answer. Amazon gives out free guns if you have a problem. 👍.... That old 'dud' should be an easy fix with just a few twists of an allen wrench...

Guess I was wrong thinking none could beat the Crosman 5 year American warranty just a phone call away.

My fellow forum member, you didn't get a dud, you got a gift imo.

...send the broken one to Crosman...or Hapo...😬

...seriously...I would just send it to them and ask them to fix it...

...maybe they will send you another new one...

...you will probably like it (them)...

Some are, some aren't. I've not been able to make rhyme or reason out of it. I've been told that airguns contain "flammable chemicals" and not able to be returned, but this is not indicated anywhere on the product page. So they don't really have their act together on this- which worked to your benefit woo hoo. There is a more updated return policy feature being used more recently by amazon, it's located in the menu to the right with the financial information. I have seen it on some perishable food products and other stuff, but I have not see it indicating any airgun is not returnable, even the ones they refuse to accept returns on.
