Being short sucks!

So, I am a towering 5'8" tall. I shoot out of my mudroom/laundry room daily. Got tired of standing on my toes to shoot out the window so I built a shooting platform. It definitely makes things easier, but makes the biggest impact on my 75+ yard shooting. Standing flat footed and comfortable is SO much better than stressed on my tip toes!!

Bwahahaha! You make up for your vertically challenged stature with excellent craftsmanship. Great idea. I'm the shortest in my immediate clan at 6'2". My son is 6'4" and my son-in-law 6'6". I get called the short one too. Go figure. It's all relative I guess. Haha.

I slouch a lot though. I am always around people that are much shorter than I. Wife is 4'11" -

AJ, I'll say this though. I think what really sucks is that we are forced, in most cases, to shoot from indoors to outdoors. That being due to neighbors that might 'drop the dime' on us. Kudos to you though for making it happen no matter what the obstacle!

I can shoot outside whenever. No ordinance or anything relegating me to hiding indoors. Plus, I bought off my neighbor. LOL!! Gave him a scoped springer a couple of years ago. If I feel like there could be an issue, I take over a couple boxes of 38 special and some homemade pickles and all is well!! LOL.

My indoor sniper location has become my go to shooting spot due to the never ending rain here in Ohio.

plinker, I read a post on another forum about Midway having the Ruger Air Hawks for $44. Wanted a cheap open sighted springer to keep out in my shop or garage. I actually forgot how much fun open sights are!!

At least most guns fit you or you can cut off part of the stock in my case 6'5" most guns are too short and it is a pain to try and stretch them. My new Wildcat does not fit me very well I like the gun but my next project is building a butt pad extension for it. I feel like I am holding a child's pellet gun when shooting it.

They are a chinese clone of the RWS 34. I expected low quality for a chinese clone @$44. It is actually a decent springer. Shot cycle is decent and it is rather accurate with the open sights at 15-20yards. Trigger sucks, but once again I bought it to leave out in my garage or shop. I have given away much nicer springers than this but it will serve its purpose. I gave it a lube tune and loctited everything down. Best $44 I have spent in along time.
