In the past, I've heard that getting good accuracy out of "late model" Benjimans was often hit or miss. But so far (fingers crossed), I haven't yet found a pellet my 392 doesn't like. It's grouping everything at sub 1/2" @ 20 yards.

That's good you are happy with the gun. Most of the problems with accuracy from what I have seen and read was paint in the ends of the barrels.  Try not to have too much fun you don't want to use it all up and become a bitter old man.  ;^)

Yes, don't be bitter, be a curmudgeon.  It's much more fun and you can start early.  And the pay-off for your skill level only grows.

I'm LOVING the  gun, I haven't actually checked the barrel for paint, but with groups like this, I don't think it's an issue.

This is a 6 shot group at 20 yards, ignore the flier it was my fault.

The center circle is 1 inch.

Just like was already Mentioned.Yes a lot of them came with paint in the barrels. Mine  did and had to use paint remover. I tried paint thinner and wouldn’t work. But just put a little bit on the tip of a model brush and left it on there for 15 minutes and then took a Q-tip and cleaned it out. Groups shrink right up.Yours might not have paint in the barrel though because I don’t think you would get those kind of groups if it did.
