Beeman RX2 price

........i thought i had seen a fella or two with dual rifles........ what set me on fire for them was seeing the velocity power ratings on straight shooters website - or maybe it was dr beemans site..... i wasnt too far off my historic numbers on this airgun (and they call the fwb 120-127 line 'the holy grail of airgunning')........... uk patriot, diana 460, -- cant compare hatsan to those, but nothing compares to 36 ftlbs in .22, especially. prices were about those of sheridan super grade rifles... the underlever i was intrested in was the slr (has a clip, i think) not powerful - 17ish ftlbs ? - paul.

I have never seen the Dual Magnums in the Beeman catalogs and the prices were and are WAAAY above the super grades. Here are my SLR's (12-17fpe) thumbhole rifle, sporter carbine.

A few things; the pump was only to be used to service the rifle to its factory limits but so many went way above and wondered why it was hard to cock, why seals were scorched and others where seal were blown out in the ram itself. The RX series in factory form should be no where near 60 lbs to cock, the Eliminators are about 50. The Theoben underlevers you mentioned are called Dual Magnums and only came in .22. One stroke was 840fps/24fpe with 14.6gr and the second gave 1040fps/36fpe with the same pellet, they are the most powerful factory made piston guns to this day. The internal function was simply to push the ram further back in the compression tube for more swept volume, there were only about 104 ever produced. The Whiscombe is quite different in that it can only be fired at only one power although more than one stoke is needed and are recoiless dual piston rifles. More Whiscombes were made than Dual Magnums. Here are my 2 Dual Magnums- Beeman marked (top) and Theoben bottom.

Interesting! I had a Theoben Scirocco Classic in .22cal that had the port for attaching a pump. I bought the pump and used it but it seems to me that introducing air into the system would cause issues due to moisture. Ended up trading it at Beemans in Santa Rosa California towards the RX1.

..........well , dang , i was remembering $1400 for the dual - and i had forgotten the anshutz barrel [ which had very interested - i have been looking around for a crosman model 6500 (anschutz model 335) to more experience this legendary air rifle barrel) , and it seems styer uses l.walther barrels.......but man....wow.... ttyl (talk to yall later)...... - paul.

I still have the original pump and pressure gage that was offered for the RX when I first bought it from Beeman Santa Rosa back in 1991. I tried using that pump once, but to add more air it sure was tough to pump. I ended up sending my gun back to Beeman to have it upgraded to an RX1, where I believe they put in the “super gas” and now my pump is a fixture just taking up space. These RX guns are highly accurate, and powerful, too. I’ve mentioned it awhile ago in the past, but it seems my 20 cal RX puts way more thump to a squirrel than a 22 cal pcp.
