Beeman original 6

Who to repair an old Beeman original 6, I think it is a 6, could be 8, I had cataract surgery a few weeks back and have not received my new glasses, so some things are not easy to read. This is a break barrel pistol with a plastic stock, rather large and heavy, has a globe front sight.. I got it sometime back in the early 80's and at one point the piston seal failed and I sent it back to Beeman for repair. It has been stashed away for 25-30 years so I think the same thing has happened as it will not clear a pellet from the barrel. I have been looking for it for about six weeks, had it stuffed between some folders in a closet, and just happened to knock some aside and saw the butt. I was thinking of restoring it for my grandson who will be ten in a couple of months, but did a little looking and see that they are somewhat rare and collectors items, so will probably restore and keep for myself for a few more years at least.

I sent him an email but no response back, I had him work a FWB 124 over last Dec and he did a fantastic job. He is who I am hoping to get to work on it.

I had sent email later yesterday afternoon,,so called him this morning. He said he usually checks and responds earlier hence no reply but he acknowledged seeing it He said send it on, and that it had more seals than I thought, and he would measure and check the spring also. I was surprised when he told me the value of one of those in good working order. I have always babied my guns so it looks almost new on the outside, He said value around $600, and I do not remember it being an expensive gun. I really at the time wanted one of the FWB sidecocking pistols, but with a young son and a new house just could not swing that price.

I just got a pm back from Motorhead and he prefers to just do tuning so passed on repair work.
