BC For .25 Caliber Predator Polymags

Sterlok has em at 25.8g bc .015

25.39 - I can't find a BC for them. Anybody have it?

Where are you all getting 25.8 grain and 25.39 grain for the weight? The tin says they’re 26 grain pellets. I saw 25.39 on Airgun Depot’s site in the title, but the tin and the specs have the weight listed as 26 grain. Could this be part of the reason for differing BCs?

As I recall a few people have measured them as averaging 25.8 grains.

And I've seen 25.39 grain listed at more places than just AGD, if I'm remembering correctly. Maybe even Amazon at one point. I think they're all typos.

0.029 seems reasonable. I don’t know the formula to obtain BC but I have noticed that at varying velocities the BC changes, so the speed at which one shoots their projectile must factor in. For example, in your photo above the velocity is 850fps. In the Pyramyd Air specs the muzzle velocity was 951fps. The differences between the two BCs are 101fps and two-thousandths on the BC. Just something to consider in addition to temperature and air pressure. I hope that members with more experience here can chime in with accurate details.

I’m curious about what gun you’re shooting them out of. I have 2 guns in .25 that shoot them great out to 50 yards. After that they go crazy. So the BC of them is meaningless to me. If you’re shooting them accurately far enough that their BC is important for elevation calculations, that’s impressive.

I have no need for BCs at moment either. I was attempting to help the OP locate an accurate figure and then saw conflicting information on the pellet’s weight and BC. There wasn’t much that I found about their ballistic coefficient in search engine results. Now I’m curious.

Very doubtful it is .029

There basically a wad cutter with a partial pointy tip ... shot lots of them and there BC is VERY POOR looked at next to JSB King dome of equal weight.

Why would you think its a low BC? All the data I've seen shows it around 025-029 except for strelok, never seen any 25 cal pellet at 015 and actually never seen one below 020.

@Skohl I’m still unsure of a reliable source for the .25 Polymag BC. Have you found a number that works for you? If so, how far out have you been shooting from and with what sort of success?

I did come across this video of an airgunner shooting what he claims to be polymags from a stock MRod. I don’t recall seeing the ammo shown in the video. I may have missed that part. Seems like he did ok out to 125 yards. He wasn’t shooting groups on paper, just dinging steel. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7N2touuAigI
