I recieved this rifle from Martin one day before the US Nationals, mounted a scope sighted it in, next day took 2nd place in Light Varmint (12fpe) class.
Superb rifle, that was in Sept ive havnt got to really shoot it since then. So i got her out the other day, abjusted the trigger to one stage 6oz pull, removed barrel and polished the exterior to a mirror shine ( cause i like it). Had some light wind outside so i addressed the barrel indexing to my liking. Installed my Weaver T36 and zero’d it then installed a Rowan air stripper. Tuned the groups to perfection, .22 size hole with a 8.4gr pellet in 10 shots. Just wanted to share

"Imold"Some awesome shooting right there Ken, 10m ? I’m sure if if we had a Airgun league around here I would have a single shot with a indexing Barrel but no clubs within hundreds of miles from me, sometimes I wish I lived farther south, east or west where Airguns are more popular but nothing wrong with being a lone wolf.
Thanks Imold, actually thats 25m/27yds, invite a friend to shoot, the bug is contagious!

You tune in the wind to minimize the drop or lift of the pellet when holding extreme left or right. When you hold to the 7 ring to the left for a left to right wind do you notice the pellet poi may be low when it hits the ten ring? Or vise versa when holding extreme right the pellet will lift high on the ten ring.
Pellet spin and other factor causes this.
Extracting extreme accuracy from your rifle :)

Hope this make sense..

** i forgot, index to 12 o’clock in little to no wind to start with. Once at 12 o’clock then start in wind.

Now I’m even more impressed, really shows what indexing can do, as far as getting with someone else that would be fun if there were any PCP shooters within 100 miles of me and even that’s pushing it, most guys I know are busy with their family’s, I have enough PCPs to have about 9 people shoot and I have pellets, air tanks and compressor but like I said they have their own things going on and most live around 60-70 miles from me so it’s just not a quick ride across town to have some fun......It would be interesting for me to talk to my local gun shop and see about putting some PCPs on display on a Saturday (which would be a few of mine)so folks could look at them and I could answer basic questions and see if it draws enough interest to take a few folks out to the range to try them and actually see what they can do........Archery,Black Powder and long guns are what people do out in my area......Airgun = BB gun in there minds, be fun to show them differently.......

"AirSupply"Ken so you are using it to help neutralise the Magnus effect. I think that's what causes the rise and drop left and right. Do you alway dial in the same direction to get a good result? I suppose it may depend on if your barrel is left or right twist.
I have never heard of this before and appreciate you taking the time to explain.
Thanks
Now your getting it...!
