Barrel Polishing

This is just too good of a set up to let pass by. What color did you use? Passion Pink, Pearl Beauty, Luscious LIps? Make sure fingernails and toes are also well polished hopefully with a color that matches your eyes. Then when time to remove it get your wife's polish remover and and wet a patch and run it through the barrel then use the same patch on any toes or fingers . OR.. Most good bore cleaners like Balistol will do the job on the barrel but is not worth a damn on fingernails. Sorry Dark 1961 please don't put a curse on me.

Now that's too damn funny!

On a serious note, I polished/cleaned my RedWolf barrel with JB Bore paste (barrel removed) and then a few patches of Balistol. I typically shoot ~300 shots per outing and follow-up with 3 or 4 patches of Balistol and a couple dry ones. This is the routine that I got from Micheal and works great for me.

I don't believe that was the meaning of the question, I believe that it is meant asking how to remove the residual polishing compound from the barrel, not literally removing the just polished finish of the barrel.

Clear it up?

Yeah I'm sure he means removing the residual polish, I also suggest Ballistol and some patches.

Hi DonC. Let me start by clarifying that I am not a fan for bore polishing. I have seen bores damaged through an incorrect process, and would never polish the bore on any of my airguns. Yes, I have used Keramik after cleaning an airgun bore. After the bore is clean and dry the last thing I do is to pull through a swab with a couple of drops of Keramik on it. Please note that there are several Keramik products. The one I use is shown below. I hope this helps.

Edit - Oops sorry - the photo didn’t attach. Below is a link, but remember as with all products you use/apply at your own risk. It is always sensible to test on something that doesn’t matter, before applying to your gun.
