Inside or outside of the barrel??

Can I use WD 40 to clean my airfifle barrel. What are some good cleaning products?

I have used Ballistol to clean the inside of the barrel, and I wipe the outside of the gun with it as well. I haven't used anything else to compare, but it works good and doesn't rot the o rings .

I'm with Todd. Balistol is good stuff. You can use it inside and out. Even on a natural wood stock. 

#3 for Ballistol. Safe for everything on gun & won't harm seals/o-rings.

There seems to be different Ballistol products, which are we talking about for barrel cleaning.

My owner's manual says use gun oil. I use it AND Ballistol AND Simple Green cleaner.

I use the green can of ballistol. 

It may work for you guys but I can’t stand the smell of Balistol.

Just think of using Balistol as the aroma of a clean happy rifle, not as hard to stomach.

A cloth with two drops of silicone oil, I wipe it twice and then dry cloths until clean, I use a fishing line to wipe the cloths

Hoppes #9, Ballistol smells like a hindu gym shoe. lead and no fire is easy to clean, no reason for any exotic cleaners. best place to use Ballistol is 20 miles away from me.

I emailed RAW because my accuracy was falling off on one of my rifles. Oddly enough they suggested using WD-40 to clean the bore.

I'm all in for Ballistol love this stuff, use it on my rimfire and centerfire guns. Sometimes even put a couple drops behind ear, girlfriend likes it better than Hoppes #9.

I use WD40 dry lube, then dry patch to finish and a minute amount of silicone grease on breach seal. Wolverine R.

you have smelled others gym shoes lol just kidding, ballistol and patch worm with the felt pellets best iv used

wd - ballistol all great stuff patch worm pellets are really good i highly recamend them

Arzrover tipped me off on gunzilla, very good for stripping actual lead fouling from your bore (this stuff will actually show you how much lead you have in your bore!)
