Barrel Cleaning

"SDellinger"Mike, I don't know about the FX 400 but I have two FX 500s and have shot over 40,000 JSB Kings unlubed and have never cleaned either. If accuracy is still good don't clean. Have fun, Scott

Geeeez !! That is awesome
There is your answer

my bobcat .22 mk1 gen 3 has 2300 down the pipe since the last cleaning and I pegged a starling at 111 meters this morning and a ring neck dove at 115 meters last week so it still shoots

Great to read the about high shot count on some FX rifles. My .22 Independence has well over 25,000 rounds shot through it and this rifle is a laser for accuracy. My FX .22 Royale has about 15,000 rounds through it and my brother's FX .22 Royale has even more. For comparison, my .22 Benjamin Marauder has over 20,000 rounds shot (2,000 just since Feb. 10th) and my .25 Marauder over 12,000 rounds. Yes, I like to shoot!

The FX rifles get the barrels cleaned every several thousand rounds. Usually at least 5,000 before cleaning. The .22 Marauder uses a hammer forged barrel so it needs cleaning every 100 rounds or so. The .25 Marauder gets cleaned every 3,000 rounds or there about.

In his blog, Brad at AoA mentioned a customer with an accurate FX Independence. That customer was me and the rifle was the one noted above: http://www.airgunsofarizona.com/blog/?s=brad
